The headboard was exactly what I expected. If you have a thicker mattress say 15” on an adjustable base, the mattress will be a little higher than the bottom of the openings. It is made well, and included in everything needed to attach to the bed frame. It looks great against the brown leather wrap of the base. Was well worth the money.

Is a very nice headboard Fits my old waterbed frame perfectly. Not very hard to put together But it would be easier with two people. Only thing I would say as far as Maybe a slight complaint Would be that it has a Kind of fake plasticky wood smell to it That remains Even after a few months of being put together.

Bought the headboard for my queen size adjustable bed. Works great together, my package did not have the adjustable shelves or the pins, but I contacted Sauder and they are sending them to me in the next week. They were easy to contact and efficiently handled my issue. I bought the white, it is beautiful, be aware it is not solid wood but for the price you have to know that already. Clean lines, wasn't extremely difficult to assemble, but probably took me longer than most would take. Heavy, I attached it to the wall, for security. To summarize, it is nice looking, simple lines, clean looking, not sure how strong it would be in a kids room but looks nice for guest room.

This headboard is made of compressed wood (particle board) which has very little strength. It is entirely held together by cam lock hardware. The cam lock pins are a press fit into the pre drilled holes in the particle board. Any shifting of the parts can easily fracture the holes making assembly difficult. This is what happened during my assembly. IKEA uses a similar system but has the cam lock pins threaded so they fit tightly in the holes. Once assembled this head board shouldn't move much, but probably also won't support much weight. I guess the idea of the cam locks was to not see screw heads, Since I plan to put books on the shelves, I drilled holes in all the support points and used 2 inch dry walls screws for additional support. It will be further mounted against the wall. It would be easier to assemble with screws than with cam locks. The cardboard back panel absolutely must be properly nailed to the frame. Without it this unit has no structural integrity.

Product was exceptionally well packaged inside a highly sturdy (and heavy - 58.4 pounds for the queen size headboard) cardboard box which was in turn shrink-wrapped using industrial strength plastic film. There were essentially zero chances for shipping damages, and it's weather-proof. Logical assembly steps and excellent, easy-to-follow instructions. Slowed by frequent pauses due to back pains and tight work space, I completed the assembly in about 3 hours. The assembled headboard looks quite nice and appears to be sturdy enough to stand on its own between a bed and a wall. With relative ease, my son-in-law attached a 16 inch Zinus bed frame (with mounting brackets that were purchased separately) to the headboard using bolts and nuts that came with the headboard. We were all very satisfied with the final result. Would highly recommend Sauder products to folks looking for practical, cost-effective furnitures.

This headboard is beautiful and feels sturdy once assembled. Ready-to-assemble furniture can often end up feeling cheap and flimsy, but so far this headboard has been well worth it. There were no pieces missing, and there was no damage to the parts. Often there are misaligned holes, chipped veneer, exposed particleboard, and warped pieces with this kind of furniture, but to my relief I didn't have any of those problems with this headboard. I did not add the adjustable shelves that can be fit into the two sides because they made the spaces much too small to decorate properly. I estimate there would have been about 4 or 5 inches of space above and below those shelves, which is only room enough to display small trinkets on each shelf. Instead I left them out so that I could fill the entire length of the bookcase with books, and it looks impressive. If you choose books with neutral spines so that they don't detract from the headboard or feel too loud for the sleeping area, using a bookcase as a headboard can really help utilize space in the bedroom. But buyers need to know that if they plan to use this headboard as a bookcase, they'll need to leave the adjustable shelves out and even then it won't hold books that are more than about 10 inches tall. This headboard needs at least two people to assemble; some of the pieces can be awkward and heavy to handle, but that is to be expected. It worked very well to attach it to a queen metal platform bedframe. I only have two regrets: I wish there had been more color options, and I wish the headboard were a little taller. When the bed is fully made, the books are partially hidden and the bookcase looks a tad short. Overall, however, I love this headboard! It adds wonderful character to the room, and I love the way it grounds the bed and delights the eye while being useful for bibliophiles who always need more space for books.

Went together very nicely. Great and easy instructions and all hardware was there. I did have to order 2 replacement shelves as the white strip was on the wrong end but it was no problem calling Saunders and getting them shipped out. Extremely pleasant actually to talk to. It’s for my grand daughters bed and she loves it. While the full size bed that this headboard will be used on does work and the brackets do connect to the bed frame, I wish they made it in a full size only. Also I should have measured the height, as with the newer thick mattresses, the back shelves actually get covered over by the pillows. The height is included in the description so this isn’t a negative on Saunders. For the price it’s a nice headboard. Oh, I should say it was packaged very nicely and secure.

To my surprise when I opened the package I noticed several missing hardware and I was not able to continue with the assembly process. Still waiting for Sauder reply.

Nos encantó la cabecera, tiene espacios para acomodar cosas, es resistente. Nuestro colchón quedó alto así que no lo fijamos (tiene unas piezas para ello) , pero aún así se mantiene de pie sin problema. Y tenía un espacio para adaptar un cargador que se tenía que comprar por separado, pero nosotros lo utilizamos para adaptar otros cables que teníamos.
