Ordered one and then bought two more. These fit perfectly in the ArtBin Super Satchel Double Deep Compartment Box. I needed something to organize my serger cone thread and these made the task easy. The combination of the storage container and these holders is expensive but really helpful to organize the cone thread the way I wanted.

So? I bought this even after reading reviews. I understand people's experiences are different. But, I am VERY PLEASE! The thread holder, holds my coned serger threads perfectly on the tray and in the case. Case is separate. ArtBin 6990RK Super Satchel Double Deep, Portable Art & Craft Organizer and they work together. They Fit all my threads. (lol..thank God I didn't have more) I will DEFINITELY be buying another set. I am Super glad I took chance. The thread pins are not touching the lid, closes easy and was VERY Easy-to-use and but together. This is A must if you want to keep your serger thread organized and lint free. Around $50 for both but I'm organized and clean. Happy Sewing!

I purchased this product to hold my serger cones after having tried other products in the past. I use Toldi-Lock cones made by Gutermann, and I've found that the bases of the cones are slightly smaller than other thread cones. This makes products that only have a small lip or groove to set the cones upon entirely useless to me. On the other hand, this product has full-length wire spindles as well as grooves for the cones to sit in. My Toldi-Lock cones do not fit into the grooves (Maxi-Lock cones do), but are still held in place very well by the wire. The other products I've tried were enclosed boxes, where this is a tray--not enclosed. This could be good or bad, depending on how you plan to use it. You can still stack the units on top of each other; however, I realized it would be also possible to mount the units vertically to the wall, and plan to do so to save storage space and provide easier access to the thread. I read reviews before purchasing this product that stated that the wire spindles were not sturdy, and I have to disagree. When you initially set this product up, the wire spindles snap into place. As long as you push them all the way into their grooves, they are quite sturdy. This is a great product; well worth the price.

the wire prongs that come with the cone organizer are essential to holding the cones in place. They work well for serger cones as well as other brands of cone threads with large center openings. However, the Superior, Floriani and Rheingold cone center openings were just a scant too narrow for the prongs to go through. That made the prongs useless and the cones would swing inside the ArtBin Super Deep satchel. Fortunately, my spouse had a tool that could drill the cone openings a bit larger so that the prongs could hold the cones in place. The thread trays fit perfectly inside the super deep satchel and help organize the threads as desired. I would buy the trays again.

Wonderful and holds all my Serger cones!! I got the storage box too. Now I don't worry about my thread collecting dust.

It fits Maxi-Lock and Toldi-Lock cones just fine. So that means 25 cones to a tray. I have a bunch of the half-height Gutermann spools of serger thread and the spools are too small diameter to fit on these wire holders. So I can only get one on each wire which again means 25 total on the tray. I sure thought I was going to be able to store 50. The picture sure looks like that. If I force the spools down on the wire, so that I can put two spools on the wire, then the wire pops off the tray. Some people say to make sure the wire snaps all the way on. Mine are all the way snapped on. I have a couple places where the tray is now broken so Im going to have to epoxy or hot glue the wire on. It holds the thread nicely, but not as well as they claimed. I dont want to pay $35 for each case (case+tray) to hold only 25 spools.

I love these thread tray inserts. They come with tall prongs that fit inside the cone spool holders and when you put the cones over the prongs, they stay neatly on their own spool. If you buy the ArtBin box these fit inside you can close the top and then pick it up and carry by the handle, the cones stay neatly on the spools. This is a great feature, so you can turn the boxes up on their side to take up less room and the cones are still each securely stored on their own spool holder. These would work great on their own without the box, but are especially nice when used with the boxes.

Whoops! I was surprised; I thought this purchase included the box and the tray. Not so! My mistake.

Keeping the threads neat and tidy, excellent device for storing the larger spools of threads, I also have the smaller bin for the smaller spools. Getting and staying organized.

The parcel arrived before the due date and was well packaged. It is exactly what it looks like on the website. I am very pleased with the product. It is expensive for what it is but as it came from America I suppose you have to add that into the price.
