Excellent value; great range of strokes; durable
This Nikko set was my first venture into dip pen nibs about 2-1/2 years ago. I've since accumulated a collection of over 60 different dip pen nibs. Two of these Nikko nibs are among my all-time favorites.I've provided a photo of samples written with these nibs for comparison (a bit messy as it's from a notebook just to record my inventory):Nikko G: this is one of my best writing nibs. If you're partial to Spencerian or scripts that require fine hairlines and good line variation to thicker strokes, this is not only an excellent starter pen but one you'll keep coming back to. It's nice and firm but with great flex, and very smooth. It's also good for expressive drawing.Maru: This is one of my top drawing nibs. If you don't require any line variation but want ultra-fine hatch lines, this is the nib to use. Very firm and smooth it navigates well over hot press watercolor paper.School: Good workhorse, nice one for beginners who are intimidated by soft flex as it's sturdier than the G, and good for heavy handed writers and artists.Spoon (or Saji as advertised): Harder than the G. I actually find the line similar to the School, neither with a lot of line variation, but it can hold more ink in its spoon shaped nibThe high quality finish on these nibs is very durable and much longer lasting than vintage nibs. They'll withstand a lot of different types of ink, even acidic iron gall. With proper care and cleaning immediately after each use, these Nikko nibs should last you a long time.I easily recommend this set for both drawing and writing, as they're excellent value, high performing and offer a good variation of choices.Oh! I almost forgot to mention that I really appreciate the rust inhibiting VCI paper included in each nib packet. Don't throw that little brown piece of paper away and do store it with your nibs. It works!

Best manga nibs!
These are probably the best nibs out there on the market. Much better than Zebra and Tachikawa nibs in my experience. They're not scratchy at all and slides on the paper really satisfyingly. And it's a great value for the price. Will last a long time.

A nib for every need
These are great!! They're quite large and are pretty high quality compared to what I'm used to.The variety really helps cover everything I need. Before this, I was using calligraphy nibs in a thin size and a larger round size. I love and still will be using those pens, but there were certain things I needed at times that they didn't fulfill. These pen nibs cover those needs. Whether it's thin, delicate lines, or lovely thick ones with lots of variations, I now have a nib for it.Since they're made for drawing, they produce much thinner lines with a more controllable thickness than my other nibs. The descriptions for the nibs are pretty spot on too. The G pen would have to be my favorite. It has the largest range and is the softest tip. The Saji nib is pretty much similar to the G pen, but harder so that the lines are a little more thin and uniform. The School pen is even harder and produces some pretty even line widths. The Maru is a little softer than the Saji pen, but much thinner. This one has the sharpest taper.

Great
Bought these for my son as he is a heavy handed comic artist. He says these do not bend as the other brands when inking.

Awesome nib set!
I love this nib set! I received the product as described. The shipping was relatively fast. The price is awesome! And the nibs fit my Tachikawa nib holder perfectly. I use the nibs for drawing and it glides so smoothly on copy paper that I would buy it again.

The best nibs
I thought was was ordering Tachikawa nibs, ordered on accident. But not regretting it. I’ve tried several metal nibs over the years and these are the best. The ink flows off them so easily, but not to the point where it’s leaky. With most brands I run the nib through a flame to burn off the chemicals it’s coated in, which hinders ink flow, but with this brand I didn’t have to. It’s a good variety of nibs and I’ll definitely be buying again.
