The enclosure has a smooth and nice feel, metal with a little bit of texture to it. I got the black and it looks nice. 15 bucks is what I paid for it and that seems fine for what it does. The enclosure is the easiest to setup of any that I have ever used, although it has been a few years since I bought one, but there are no screws and it works by pressing a button on the front of the enclosure and it pops right open and the drive slides right in and it pops closed and bang you're done. So it's been no hassle whatsoever. This enclosure is for 2.5 or laptop size hard drives SATA.

I cannot speak to the performance of this little device, but the size and shape are quite good. I needed a type C enclosure for a 7mm SSD, but the only one that I was able to find was plastic, and was for USB 3. This one can still be used with a thicker laptop hard drive, but it is much slimmer than other "combo" units. Plus the aluminum material will give a little better protection and heat dissipation. But, only time will tell if the board inside will give good service life before it craps out.

Ce boitier externe est un must. Interface dernier cri (USB 3.1) compatible avec les anciennes normes et surtout le fabuleux connecteur USB C tellement plus pratique que les autres type car réversible. Finition impeccable, boitier en métal bien plus agréable que le plastique. J'ai acheté ce boitier en remplacement d'un autre qui se déconnectait tout le temps. J'ai mis un disque 320 go. L'installation sans vis se fait en moins de 30 secondes. Le capot se clipse, le disque est parfaitement maintenu. En USB 2 ou en USB 3 plus aucun souci. Le disque se connecte et reste connecté. Je suis absolument satisfait.

Ditched my windows pc and had to put my ssd in an enclosure, found that FahanTech hsrd drive enclosure was just what i was looking for! It has a simple design with the aluminum shell looking quite elegant and goes with my apple products. The installation couldn't be easier, just push the small button to open the case, slide the drive in in close it back again. No screws to mess around! The cable it comes with is top quality and the enclosures does just what it is intended to without performance loss. Access speeds are very good (also depends on the drive you install). I would buy the same enclosure again if i had to choose. I did have to buy a usb-c cable that has the same connector on both ends to use with my macbook, since it comes with usb-c to usb-a (wich i also use with my mac pro). All in all, an awesome product and future proff for the next years!

Utilice la funda para aprovechar un hdd interno que voy a upgradear, la verdad el rendimiento en la funda es el mismo que en el ordenados solo lamento que ko traiga un cable USB-c USB-c por lo demas una estética impecable junto a un buen rendimiento

J'utilise ce boitier pour mettre un SSD et faire du montage avec un MacBookPro 2016. Ca fonctionne bien. Le boitier est léger et le débit correct. Je trouve que l'alu semble assez fragile et le logo FahanTech un peu trop visible. A part ça. C'est nickel
