Cowboy Magic Detangler & Shine 4 oz

I have a 20lb mini poodle and she's 7. I finally went through my first bottle--yes it lasted 7 years--and will forever use Cowboy magic because it's bloody magic! I use it on wet hair after a shampoo and conditioner because it spreads easier and gets down to her skin better. I massage it in deeply everywhere and she loves it too. I sing Queen's "It's a Kind of Magic" to her and I make sure to get every inch of her body. It creates long lasting shine, conditions her hair, and is a styling treatment. It does not leave the hair greasy at all. I put extra on her belly because she has sensitive skin and it takes blemishes away and she scratches less. You want to really rub it in though. Put a little in your hands and rub them together then do a body part--each leg with a little for example. I massage it through the whole coat getting down to the skin. I recommend Cowboy Magic to every dog owner I know. It's praise cannot be construed with words, you must use it and find out the magic for yourself.

This product line is the absolute BEST for my Goldendoodle and my Bernedoodle. We groom our own dogs and the detangler is a MUST! Great scent and the doods love being massaged with it before brush outs. It is super effective in getting rid of and preventing matting.

My daughter has super fine hair that knots of you look at it wrong. I have tried close to a dozen detangling products to assist with the tangles. I only had to use this one once to know it was an INCREDIBLE product. I applied it to her damp hair after washing/conditioning and could not believe how easily her hair brushed out. Once it dried it was SO shiny and soft. What really blew my mind what after a full day of having it down THERE WERE NO KNOTS at the end of the day when we did the night time brush. It does have a strong smell when you apply it but it fades to a nice clean scent. I will never buy another detangling product again because this one is THAT girl.

This seems to be working pretty well for my daughter's thick, wavy hair. It doesn't seem like a miracle product and at times does leave the hair a bit greasy looking but we are learning how to use it and it has helped her hair at least somewhat. The greasiness does seem to go away sometimes so we are just trying to figure out the right amount to use and how often we can use it for her to go between washings.

I purchased this mainly as a detangler for dog grooming after hearing it raved about on groomer blogs & forums. Now that I've tried it I have to say I'm very pleased. This is a concentrated conditoner so you only need a tiny bit, say a nickel sized amount in your palm, smoothed between your hands, then applied to dog after bathing but before brush-out. Works like a charm to prevent static build up and tangles. SInce it's concentrated, you can also dilute it with water in a spray bottle, which I do about half the time, depending on the dog's coat. My first priority was to use this to treat mats in thick double coated breeds of dogs that I needed to brush out. This really gets the mats out without hurting the dog if they're workable, and coats the hairs to keep them seperate & tangle free afterward. My clients have noticed as well. They come in and ask what I have done differently after the last groom because their dog feels so silky and soft! When they ask why the usual friction areas are brushable now when they weren't previously, I tell them it's a method I've discovered over the years (wink-wink, lol) that works like a charm. Now I don't know how I would work without this detangler - I'm hooked! I considered buying "the stuff" but read that it can cause a stucky build up over time if you use it too much so I decided to try this instead. SO glad I did. I tell my coworkers that its just a homeade formula so they can't buy this and get mats out as fast as I can! I know, it makes me a horrible person, but it's not like they share trade secrets with me or anything! This is definately a staple in my tack box from now on. And did I mention this is allergy & dermatologist tested for humans as well? I have started using this on my own fine, tangled, broken hair as well and noticed improvements. After use my hair is silky, shiny & manageable like models in hair commercials when before the slightest shift in wind would reduce my hair to broken, frizzy tangles. This detangler has saved me SO much time! This past winter has been especially messy in my neck of the woods, what with the unusual amount of snow. So of course, that means a bit of mud in the pasture. My little Irish Cob and Clydesdale cross have thick manes and tails. This serum has really made detangling a breeze. I’m able to get knots out with minimal breakage. When I was finished, their manes and tails were so soft and shiny. I can’t complain about the smell either. :) I will also add that from what I’ve used so far, a little bit seems to go a long way. So I think this detangler is reasonably priced. I had to put them in stalls more than usual because the ice took forever to go away. When they were turned out again, they were pretty stoked and did their fair share of rolling and what not. I think with a spray detangler (which costs more), I would have gone through more than the equivalent amount of Cowboy Magic I used. I wish I would have captured a before picture. There was still a bit of wavyness in part of my cob’s mane after I untangled a small section, but that’s to be expected. Anyway, no complaints at all and highly recommended to my fellow equestrians!

I’ve been using cowboy magic, detangler and shine for decades. I started using it on my horses when I was a kid. I still use it on my horses and now my daughter and I use it in our hair too! It’s perfect as a detangler for both! When we use it in our own hair, it’s not heavy, it doesn’t make your hair greasy, does not weigh your hair down and does exactly what it’s supposed to. This is a staple in my barn and in my house for us as well.
