Fast and easy tree trimmer
The best feature by far is the strong blade that has "stops" on each end. This means that once started and an initial cut has been made, you just keep sawing without having to look up and get an eyeful of sawdust. This makes for easy and faster trimming. My older pole saw has a slimmer blade that both bends or slips off the branch being trimmed. I also like the included carrying case. in summary the trimmer possesses all of the features you would want (length, functionality, sharpness, portability, and included carrying/storage case).

Nicely Designed and Functional But is a Bit Heavy Fully Extended.
Used it the same day I got it because I had some maple tree limbs brushing against my chimney. I have a steep Cape Cod style roof and do not like climbing on it if I can avoid it. Saw this advertised and figured I'd give it a try. Comes with no instructions, but it's not hard to assemble. Only thing to look out for is all the pieces are the same size except one, which is the one you attach the saw blade to. Was able to get a branch around 20 feet up cut by leaving out two of the pieces. But needed them all for a higher branch. I'm fairly strong, but took a good bit of effort to raise it up to cut the branch. I would not recommend using this near power lines. Too easy when fully extended to lose control of it. Other than that, a great product, solidly put together and easy to assemble to multiple lengths. And it has its own carrying bag. The ad says it can handle limbs 27 feet up, but that does not include your own height.

Easy setup and sharp blade
I needed to trim a few branches in a tall tree and checked my life insurance before climbing a long ladder and strangely, stupidity, aka 50+y/o on a 12ft ladder holding a bladed tool, is not covered. This saw does a great job. It is easy to assemble and set up, and has a long reach. It does get a little wobbly when extended far out, but hitting the desired spot on the branches was not too difficult. The blade cut easily into the wood and the hooks at both ends prevent it from slipping out of the cut. Wear safety glasses to avoid sawdust in your eyes.

Works good
Fantastic, for cutting branches, when you can't climb tree, long reach as described, sharp with extra blade and storage bag. Need to cut with branches falling away from blade, so no pinch, or can get stuck and or bent depending on weight of branches.thanks

A challenge, but it can be done.
5 stars because in the end I got what I wanted. It worked. The branch is down, nothing was damaged, nobody got hurt. But be advised, it won't necessarily be easy.I bought two of them because I needed to make it longer than 30ft. You CAN do it, regardless of what the directions might say. But it will be extremely difficult and also somewhat dangerous.Even at 30ft, the saw is quite heavy and too flexible to maneuver into place. You've got to start with about 15ft, then lean it against the tree, then continue to add more and more pole sections while it's in place. This saw's threaded sections work well for this and I don't think the competitors' snap-in models would. Then, once you have it at the correct length, you have to CAREFULLY slide it onto the target branch. At this length, the pole is extremely flexible, and even the slightest movement of your hands causes the far end to bounce and sway dramatically. It's this way because they traded strength for lightness. If they hadn't, you wouldn't be able to lift it. But it does mean you have to maneuver it very slowly and gently or risk disaster.Anyway, it would be way easier at any length less than the full 30ft. Toward the full length it gets harder. Anyone trying to combine two of them to go even longer: Just because you can doesn't mean you should. But it can be done.

Great tool for the price
well-constructed tool. like that it comes in many extensions, so you only have to connect what is needed for the height you need. Very sturdy and blade is sharp.

It's okay
This saw works pretty well if you don't need it for tall trees, even though you can extend the pole to a very long length. However, the longer it gets, the more flimsy it gets. It's not the most sturdy of construction. The blade is also very thin and will require a great amount of work to saw through even thin branches. It is so flexible that it bends and oftentimes gets stuck. But again, if you don't need to reach tall branches, this should work just fine. It's nice that it comes with a replacement blade.

Works Well/Takes Effort/Hand Grip Came Off on Second Day of Use
First, I would say that I would buy this again. Poles are long (longer than you can probably use) and pretty sturdy for the height. Blade is sharp. Extra blade is great to have and one of the reasons why I bought this product as compared to competition. Carry bag is essential as you approach the trees to get the correct height on the pole. Cutting high branches takes work so be prepared but that is to be expected and is manageable if you want a good shoulder/arm workout. Once I got "started" I found more and more low or dead branches to cut (some quite high). Very addicting. Also, the hooks on each end of the blade are essential for ease of cutting but also VERY helpful to grab dead vines on trees to pull down. The reason I only gave it four stars is because, on the second day, the rubber bottom and mid pole grip handle on the lowest pole both came off (I couldn't find them in the woods). At first I thought I left that pole section on the ground as I modified the pole height periodically but then (after looking around for them for a while) I realized they had just slid off since that end of the pole had no metal connector piece like the others. You don't really need the grips but they should have been more securely attached so a one star "demerit."Overall, very glad I bought this!
