Amazon Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote, requires compatible Amazon Fire TV smart TV

I don't know if I have a defective remote, but the batteries that came with it were used up in about 4 days. The batteries I put in after that just died about 4 days later. Beware that this is potentially a battery crusher. I'll update my review if Amazon has anything to say.Update 2/14/22: I've sent the remote back and will order a new one. The batteries were fine that I used, I believe I just had a defective unit. Will give an update when I reorder a new remote, hopefully with better results.Update 3/9/22: I've had the replacement for a few weeks at this point and I'm happy to say that this unit is not defective and works as expected. I changed to 4 stars because I had to go through the return process.

My dog chewed up my remote for my amazon omni firetv, I ordered this and put the batteries in and it was already program to my tv

I did like that I could have a replacement remote. I like that it works like the original remote. Voice recognition great, volume great. The only reason for the stars is this remote has caused glitches with the tv where it powers on and off, or goes to a different channel on its own, or pauses midstream. This is since it’s been paired. So in the sense, it doesn’t 100% work like the original remote. And these things happen at randoms times and random days. It’s like stuff happens like someone is controlling the remote, and no one is near it. It’s like who did that? So I’m hoping to find my original remote that came with my fire tv because I had no glitch issues with that one.

This is the second remote that I have bought for this TV and ive only had it 4 months. The second one didn't even last 2 weeks. No damage was done to the remotes and they both had protective cases. Do not buy these remotes or the TV for that matter until they fix their issue. It's not worth it

I've lost the remote that came with the fire tv and the replacement I bought. This is the first remote that worked perfectly! The first two could not be opened to replace batteries without a chisel & duct tape, and they also were hard to set up(can't detect signal, make sure tv is on, Amazon password.....)This one I opened the box, the back slid off just as it was supposed to, I inserted the batteries and hit power. Perfect! It even is faster than the other two. So I'm also buying a pack of stickon item finders- I'm not going to lose this one!

Works with an Amazon TV just like the original remote. We like having more than one remote and this pairs up easily. We recommend as replacement or additional remote.

Alexa Fire TV Voice Remote Is easy to use, insert batteries and sync to my TV immediately. No need to point directly at tv an I love the volume on remote. I felt the replacement was a bit pricey but product much needed. Now I need Velcro or duck tape to tv so my family won’t loose the original.
