Warranty Description | 3 Year Warranty, effective November 18, 2019 In the event that any part of your Frontpoint system, except for screens, wiring, light bulbs, l.e.d.s, l.c.d.s, expendable batteries and foil tape, becomes defective within 3 years from: (i) the date of initial activation of the equipment containing such part at the Premises or (ii) 30 days from your receipt of such equipment, whichever is earlier (the “Warranty Period”), Frontpoint will replace or repair the defective part without charge to you (“Warranty”) so long as you are an active Frontpoint customer in good standing. We may use reconditioned parts in making repairs, but Frontpoint warrants the replacement parts only for the remainder of the Warranty Period. This Warranty is not assignable. If you discover a defect in the equipment you have purchased from Frontpoint, you should immediately contact Frontpoint in writing or by telephone and fully describe the nature of the defect so that repair service may be rendered. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. |

Good for my needs. AND…
Update: my smoke detector wasn’t working out of the box, or I should say, wouldn’t stop working. It would continue to alarm even after I tried bypassing it. I was able to contact customer service about it and they said it was defective. They would send me a replacement and I could return the defective one in the package they send. It was so easy and quick to resolve. I haven’t had any issues with the new one. I’m very happy with my system!I read reviews and research online before I buy products over the internet. I read that the doorbell only works with a wired house. So I confirmed mine was wired first. Based on the reviews I’ve read, it seems like no one read about the product they were buying. Buying something just because it looks cool is not the best way to plan for the future or prepare for it.

Read more about this before you get it
I purchased this excited for a new security system for my home, there were some technical issues setting this up (this was my fault). I called support and they ordered and charged me for a brand new system after I told the individual on the call I already have a system and I just need help setting it up, and tried to verify multiple times I won’t be charged for anything. Not only that they expect you to pay an OUTRAGEOUS monthly fee to keep this system active and working.. save your money and get a different security system.

Its suppose to be diy you need wires to connect the door bell
I can’t connect my door bell my house is a older house and don’t have wires for a doorbell so I can’t hook it up without hire a electrician

Don’t buy unless you want to pay subscription
The actual devices work well, but you HAVE to pay for the subscription (which is $50 per month), so make sure you read the fine print before signing up.

Very solid system. Seems like most of the bad reviews are from people not reading, and that isn’t Frontpoints fault

Great system, easy to set up, and excellent customer service
The system was extremely easy to set up. I have set up a few technical products in the past, but this system was by far the most turn key. From the point of opening the box, to following the instructions on the app, it was up and running in under an hour from start to finish - even with me being OCD about where I put the keypad and the sensors. Once you are set up, it is even easier to use. I prefer the mobile app, but you have the option of going on the web as well.I had a question about one of the sensors and their support was very helpful. I'm more of a live chat type of person and normally expect the wait time to be high. But it was answered immediately and I even asked a couple extra questions just because I was curious about how the glass break sensor works.I also like that their monitoring has a very fast response, and I can set up notifications for several different events. Highly recommend.

Bad customer service
My equipment started to fail 2 months ago, after 3 years since I signed up for the service (I made timely payments throughout that time). I finally decided to cancel their service since I basically had no security system for several months and was looking to get a refund. Instead they charged me an extra month “per their cancellation policy.” After several calls with their customer support, the message I got was “we still paid for our infrastructure so you have to pay for it.” They refused to refund me for unrendered services. Worst experience with customer service, their equipment breaks and you’re still expected to pay. Go with more established companies like Nest.
