Great Bike Rack at a Great Price
Once I figured out how to install this rack on my Tesla Model 3, (the pictorial instructions need improvement), I really loved the rack. It is sturdy, light weight, foldable and small for storing in the trunk or garage when you don't need it. It shouldn't take long to install, after your first install. I like the orange cushioned brackets that fit under the bottom edge of the trunk and rests on the bumper. The upper strap brackets are also coated. Although they fit under the top edge of the trunk, they don't make contact with the outside of the trunk, if the straps are properly tightened. These brackets are made to protect your paint. (See photos) Other reviewers expressed concern about the springs in the tightening buckles perhaps slipping and allowing the straps to loosen while driving. . I found a simple solution. Just take the excess strap and wrap it snugly around the tightened strap next to the buckle. Tuck the end under one of the loops in the wrap. Now, even if you press on the buckle release, the strap won't loosen, until you unwrap the excess. I would suggest doing this wrapping only after your bike is secured on the rack and you have done another tightening of the straps. Check that the rack won't move away from the trunk, either side to side, or up and down. If so, you have done it right. But it is still a good idea to stop after a few miles of driving, to check everything one final time and tighten, again if needed. Now enjoy your drive.

great bike rack. sometimes simpler is better.
Disclosure: I was offered a cash rebate for a 5 star review AFTER I purchased this item on Amazon. This bike rack deserves 5 stars. I did a LOT of research online before deciding on this rack. I was looking for a simple but good quality bike rack. I almost always travel with just 1 bike so this small and lightweight rack is ideal. It is very easy to put on and take off the car; however I keep the rack on my car since I use it multiple times a week. It actually makes the back of my car look better! And it fits my car perfectly and I would say it should fit any sedan. It may not fit any mountain bike but it fits mine (trek ex8). It holds the bike securely, I've driven with it on the highway at high speeds and also on bumpy roads. Because of its design there is no way for the bike to bump and scratch the car. Of course, I can't tell whether it will last forever. My biggest concern is that if the straps fail the bike could fly off the car while driving. It would be nice if there were hooks at the end of the rack that could prevent that. Also, there is no security system to prevent bike theft.

Easy enough to use
I've found this quite easy to setup and have been able to use it to transport 3 bikes, 2 adult and 1 kids bike. Even though it's advertised as 4 I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable that it's strong enough to hold that much weight. It would be tricky to maneuver all the bikes into properly fitting together also. The only downside to this are the clips that hold it to the car. The first few times I was very nervous the top 2 clips would detach from the car because really the only thing holding them in place is a slight curve in the metal and the proper placement of the rubber mat. If even one of these slipped off the car you'd lose all your bikes I imagine. Also the other end of the strap is only held in place by a spring clip, while very sturdy makes for several single points of failure. For the price though you can't beat this to hold more than 2 bikes.

Stellar product!
I've driven 1,000 miles in a day with this bike mount twice now. Over the 15 hours, I experienced pouring rain, 80+mph speeds, winding mountain roads, 100 degree as well as freezing temps. Straps didn't loosen and the mount didn't even move a centimeter. With the extra red strap, the bike doesn't move AT ALL while driving either. No damage on neither bike nor car. So impressed! Easy to install on my Toyota Corolla by myself. I didn't cut the excess strap off so I could continue to use it on any car and simply used the rubber bands from the packaging to contain the excess (no flapping straps). Mine goes in the trunk when not in use for longevity purposes, but the mount is light enough that you are still able to open the trunk if you are planning on keeping it on full-time. However, the weight of my bike and the mount means I can't open the trunk with the bike still loaded (just plan ahead). I agree with previous reviewers that it would be nice if there was a way to secure the bike to the mount. But I'm not sure there's really a way to work around this in terms of design. A knife to the straps would make easy work of stealing the bike. For my long-haul trips, I slipped a lock around the frame with a chain through the tires. At least this way it looks secure, makes it impossible to ride off on my bike, and the thief would still have to deal with a Kryptonite lock/chain. It's not bulletproof, but, since most thefts are of convenience, gives me peace of mind.

Works well with my 2023 Toyota highlander but will not work with my 2017 Toyota Seinna
the product works the bike mounting rubber straps are a bit cumbersome to use. the Strap configuration work well but I'm not sure about longevity. It worked great to take my bike on vacation, but is a bit more cumbersome to use than some other omdel I have had. Overall it seem to be a good product, we will see how long that continues to be the case

Easy to install and holds bike very steady
6/21/19 Follow up to initial review. Noticed the comment about concern about the strap security. One I got the rack mounted the way I wanted, there wasn’t much strap past the spring clips so a little concerned. Tried to find extra luggage clips to provide extra security but couldn’t. Friend suggested simply folding over the strap and put electrical tape around half the folded strap a couple of times and then fold over the rest of the strap and continue with the tape. Works great and the straps aren’t going to move as electrical tape very strong but do agree additional security for the top straps would be great. Very easy to install - there’s even an instruction video on Amazon although pretty self explanatory. Didn’t notice the warnings about rear spoiler but although my Land Rover LR2 has a small one can get the strap and hook under it without much effort. Once tightened the bike stays in place with minimal movement although my longest drive to a bike trail about 15-20 minutes. A bit of a pain to take off and on when parked while biking but alternative is simply leave it on and hope no one steals it. In this regard wish my SUV had a hitch as would buy a rack for that.

Universally good for our SUV and Sedan
Debated for many months whether to buy a trunk or hitch bike rack. Worrying so much about the safety and stability of a bike mount. I also didn't want to invest in a hitch for my old SUV. At the end, I am so happy I purchased this trunk mount rack. Not only was it stable and secure, I was able to mount it to my 2008 Volvo XC90, 2018 Honda Accord, and 2017 Hyudai Tuscon. The mount rack is well made and had no issues driving on the highway at normal speeds in the SUV. Although it was a tight configuration, I managed to get 3 adult bikes on the rack. For the bigger bikes, be careful with the bike tire being too close to the exhaust when mounted. After an hour of driving, the exhaust heat popped the bike tire. Lesson learned. When installed on the sedan, it seem to be less space between the car bumper and bike pedal/tire. To protect your car, I would recommend getting a bumper pad or having a padded covering for your bike pedal. Improvement request. Red strap needs to be longer to strap all 3 bikes together.

Sturdy & well made auto bike fr
Succeeded where others did not. The arms on this rack were long enough and stuck out sufficiently for the bike to hang properly and clear the rear bumper. Rack was sturdy and well made. Maybe it was me, but I found the directions to not be as clear as they could have been.
