Iam a locksmith and I make my own lock tools. I just started developing tension wrenches and picks for ERA Fortress locks . These are extremely secure and heavy duty lever locks that take a very thick piece of wire (1.5 to 2.9mm). These 90 degree shaping pliers are easily able to make the bends necessary.

I wanted a fast alternative to bending corners for perfect square wires. This bends wire, but its a sharper angle than 90. Maybe more like 80. Combined with the price, I give it a less than great rating.- Build quality is really good.- Corners are soft and not sharp- Wire can move on you so you still have to be careful

This is not a precision tool. Yes it v bends for general purpose wires. It is not a quality tool to use for anything you intend to repair or make to sell or give as gifts. The v channel does not line up with its counterpart. After bending the initial v a flattening of one leg on the wire is needed to get a true v and not a v with an extra bend.
