Great cup all around, give us better gaskets!
The Pure Zen Tea Tumbler with Infuser is a well-made and functional tea mug. The double-wall glass construction keeps the exterior from getting too hot to the touch, which is a great feature. I appreciate the versatility of being able to position the strainer on either the top or bottom by simply turning the tumbler. The included protective sleeve is a nice touch, adding extra convenience and protection. However, there are a few downsides. The tumbler tends to leak a bit when you flip it from top to bottom, which can be a bit of a hassle. It would also be more convenient if the tumbler were slightly wider for easier cleaning. Additionally, the product could benefit from more replacement gaskets or improved gaskets to ensure a snug fit and reduce leaks caused by improper screwing. Overall, it’s a good quality tumbler with some room for improvement. If you’re looking for a versatile and stylish tea infuser bottle, this one is worth considering.

Best tea tumbler and infuser yet!!
Seriously have tried ALL of the tea infusers ever since I stopped drinking coffee. This one is awesome! I've used it now for a few weeks, and never leave the house without it. I love this infuser for so many reasons! It's made of glass, no plastic or metal taste. The taste of my tea is so much better, and it finally does not taste like a to-go drink. I've only made green tea and jasmine tea so far, but both were great. The bottle itself feels like a high-quality and well designed product. It's glass and stainless steel, so feels sturdy and well manufactured. Wish the sleeve came in more colors, but can't really complain. It's SUPER easy to clean. The bottle opens from both ends, I throw the glass part in the dishwasher and just rinse out the little filter. It's great! The bottle never gets too hot, and the sleeve makes it feel like a cozy teddy bear :) Also, the infuser doesn't leak tea leaves finally... nothing worst than getting chunks of tea as you sip from a portable bottle. The positioning of the infuser if key: I like to infuse my tea at the bottom and then flip the bottle to drink from the top! This is actually a PORTABLE tea tumbler. It has a little sleeve that makes it easy to carry around and that keeps it safe and protected! It's great. I use it everyday from my long commute to work, the tea stays warm for about 1.5 hours, and many people have asked me about it! Overall, I am absolutely thrilled with the purchase and I would highly recommend it to everyone

Best tea infuser but with a catch.
Best infuser I have used. Very portable and easy to use. The glass is thin, so be careful. The silicone inside both caps are easy to clean, but very susceptible to mold. Clean silicone often. This bottle can have negative pressure, when drinking the tea as it cools, you need to open it slowly.

Tons better than a random travel infuser I bought; quibble with removing gaskets
I've been intermittent fasting for a few months and find that a good cup of herbal tea is a nice way to while away the non-eating until lunchtime. I typically use loose tea and have a few infuser/strainer devices (some better than others) that I use to prepare my cup of tea. A long time ago, I bought a random glass infuser travel bottle (NOT this one) and a month or so ago, I filled its infuser basket, set the bottle on its top cap and realized that the top (and the top cap) was so narrow that I was worried about the glass bottle tipping over as I was filling it with boiling water from the bottom. Somehow, I managed to avoid disaster there, but when I went to put the bottom "lid" on, I realized that the single-layer glass had gotten really, really hot, so I had to use an oven mitt to hold the bottle and -- having read reviews of the glass breaking when the lid was being tightened -- I gently secured the lid. (Perhaps you can see where this is going. :) When I flipped the entire thing upside-right (with my oven mitt, of course), tea began leaking out of the bottom. Sigh. So I had to flip upside-down again and tighten that bottom lid without breaking the glass container. Somehow, I managed to do that and was *finally* able take my tea to-go. (Although I kept the bottle in a bag in case it leaked in the car!) Since I'd had so much trouble with this operation, I wondered if I'd missed something. Sure enough, the travel infuser bottle (again, NOT this one) was for cold infusing/brewing only! Well, great. So I hunted around, found this product, and, seeing the many really positive reviews, decided to put it on my wish list. I ordered it a few days ago and, as usual, it arrived very quickly. I gave it all a good soapy-water wash by hand and thorough rinse and dry and used it today. First things first, the double-walled container keeps tea hot for a very long time. I brewed mine an hour ago and have had the lid off for nearly that entire time and the tea is still too hot for me to drink. I imagine that will be awesome when I want hot tea while out and about. Second, since the size of the top lid and bottom lid are identical (or nearly so), the container was stable as I was filling it with boiling water. I had no concerns about wobbliness like I did with the other one. I didn't have the same concerns about breaking the container while tightening the lids; the glass is significantly thicker than the other random one I mentioned above. The infuser basket screws on to the bottom lid and I have a tiny fear that if the thread part of the basket ever were to get bent, it would no longer screw on to the bottom lid. Since I'm hand-washing it, I don't think it will happen, but if it's on our drying mat and a pan falls on it, it might be game over for the infuser basket. (The other one I mentioned above has a drop-in basket which could probably be bent a little and still function properly.) (I will confess that I'd unscrewed the basket, set it on top of the bottom lid (opening-up), grabbed a scoop of loose tea and promptly dumped the loose tea into the container, not the basket. D'ohh! Easily rectified, but something I'll need to pay closer attention to.) So, given all the positives (especially compared to the other one I bought which was simply unsuitable for hot tea for travel), why the missing star? Well, it's because the o-rings (which I think I got 4 extras of, so that's pretty cool in case one or more get damaged/lost over time) are almost impossible to remove. I tried using my fingers, the edge of a spoon, the tip of a butter knife, smacking it against my finger, and nothing would get the gasket to come out. I washed it well, but I'm sure that over time, mold will hang out underneath and I really want to access below the gaskets. As I see it, the only way to remove the gaskets (without destroying them) is to use a tool like a dental pick to get underneath an edge and then remove it. Clearly not a showstopper, but maybe including some sort of gasket-removal tool would allow us to be sure that everything is nice and clean, including underneath the gasket. Truth be told, I probably will not be using this every day (since it keeps my tea too hot for consuming in a reasonable time at my desk), but I am glad I have it for when I want to take some hot tea with me.

Pure Zen Tea Tumbler
This item works like it says. The double wall insulated glass holds cold or heat for decent amount of time. What I like best about as opposed to my 18 oz Yeti is that with the Yeti if you put something fresh hot in it and hour later it's still way too hot to drink without burning your mouth. Zen tea tumbler holds heat long enough to keep it warm, but not so hot that you can't drink it. After waiting about 15 or 20 minutes the tea or coffee inside should be cooled down enough to enjoy without burning yourself. What I don't like about it, is that the infuser does let some small particles escape form the infuser. I brewed some Japanese Sencha green tea in it for the first two brews, and it did let some of the sediment escape. However when I brewed some loose leaf Massala Chai tea it seemed to work better. if you were to take a tea bag and cut it open and dump into the infuser basket, bag tea usually uses finer broken leavers and therefore will allow for sediment in your drink. But if you use a quality loose leaf tea with longer leaf structure it will work better. To be clear I do not have an issue with the way that the infuser basket infuses. It infuses the tea just fine. The infuser is very easy to use screws on and off with ease. I would suggest to this company that they might try using a different mesh material for the infuser basket much like that screen mesh used for the Finum brewing baskets. Otherwise it's great. I also like the aesthetics of the Zen Tea Tumbler. Nice packaging as well. 01/18/2024. I would like to edit my initial review from four stars to five stars. I have to say that I was very impressed with the customer service and follow up from Laura the owner and creator of the Pure Zen Tea Tumbler. Laura reached out to me to address my concerns. Laura was very open to hearing my suggestions for her product. I appreciate her quick and thorough response. Thank you so much Laura.

Great product. Durable and will last for years!
I love this tea infuser. I've owned it for over five years and it is still going strong even though it has been dropped and knocked off side tables by my cats more times than I can count. It is extremely durable! I often use mine to make milk tea. I heat water in the coffee maker, pour it into the infuser, shake with the powder, and then open it and toss in ice. It has to be borosilicate glass? I think it is but I'll check after the review. Regardless, it has withstood this temperature change abuse for YEARS and it has never been a problem. ***Just checked and yes it is borosilicate glass BUT!! I doubt this use is recommended so if you do what I do it will be at your own risk! Don't blame the manufacturer if it breaks! I know I'm being risky but I have a lot of trust in borosilicate glass! lol*** The silicone gaskets can be a chore to maintain their appearance but if you wash it immediately after use (or at bare minimum if you don't remove them then make sure they are rinsed and turned over to drip dry) they will look good so much longer. After all these years I finally bought a new pack of rings because the originals were so discolored. They worked fine and I knew they were clean but I just wanted some that weren't funky looking. lol There is a tiny learning curve to using this infuser. If you fill it by passing it under a steam of water instead of starting the water directly over it then a small amount of water will collect in the bottom lid and dribble out when it is turned to the side. I don't ever think about how I'm filling it and end up having a little water in the bottom. I pour that little bit of water out before moving it out of the sink. Just something to keep in mind. Overall I love this thing. I have nothing negative to say about it. I wish it was a little bigger but then it would probably feel bulky instead of how comfortable it is to carry. It has been one of the best investments I've made and it is well worth the money. And I say all this as I'm about to order a second one and really spoil myself!

Didn't live up to the hype at all :(
Update: within a few business days of contacting them, I did hear back from their customer service. As other reviews have said, they were prompt, polite, and sent me a replacement part as part of the warranty. I will update this review once I receive it. They think I may have received defective lids. +1 star for customer service Second update: The new lids are also not working well...they leak appreciably (a problem I did not have with the first set of lids) and while not nearly as much water, I can hear that water has entered the non-infuser lid as well. Very frustrating. I really wanted to like this product, it was just what I was looking for, but unfortunately I don't know if I just got a defective one or if they are all truly like this but I had leaking and rusting issues from day one. The product came packaged beautifully, although a bit wastefully, but it is what it is. While I initially didn't think I needed a sleeve for it, that was helpful as the bottle does get warm with hot liquids in it, so that was nice to have. +1 star. The product itself was easy to assemble and disassemble, and was amenable to both hot and cold liquids. The infuser was easy to use and large enough for something like fruit but could still hold something like loose leaf tea which is my primary use for it. +1 star. However, from the first moment I used it there are issues with leaking on the lid with the infuser attachment. It's a very slow leak, but enough to soak the bottom of the koozie within an hour. -1 star. The infuser lid sounds like it has water inside of it after my first use. Despite removing the gasket I cannot figure out how to get that water out. If that's a feature, it's never mentioned in the instructions packet to my knowledge. If that's because there's a leak, it would make sense because overnight it started to rust even though I hand dried and then left it out to air dry the rest of the way. Rust on a product that claims heavily to be anti-rust WITHIN THE FIRST 36 HOURS OF USE??? -1 star. Lastly, the whole point of this type of bottle is to be able to flip it upside down and right side up depending on which lid you need and how much tea infusion you'd like (strong versus mild). I found that very awkward, once you put hot liquid in the bottle you are unable to put the lid on because steam will build up and will explode when you open it again and shower you with hot liquid. In the instructions it says to wait at least a minute to circumvent this, but I have found that as the bottle and lids heat up it's really hard to handle it appropriately and seal it flip it and unseal it fast enough to avoid hot water spraying everywhere. -1 star. It's really such a shame I wanted to like this product so much! It truly was exactly what I was looking for, and I'm disappointed. I did reach out to customer service yesterday to make sure I was using the bottle correctly, and although they said they will respond to me within 24 hours, I was honestly so disappointed with the rust that I found this morning that I am not going to wait for a response before posting this. Clarification: their customer service team autoreply says they'll respond in 24 BUSINESS hours, not 24 (regular) hours.

Pretty awesome
Got this for my fiance to take to work and he uses it all the time for his coffee and tea. Its perfect for cold brewing tea overnight in the fridge. Ive also been trying to avoid alot of plastic so it's great that all the parts are glass and metal. Both sides come off so it's easy to clean too.

Great product, well made
I am always very busy, and I have little time to stop and make tea or even stay hydrated. I love this tea tumbler and use it several times a day as a very quick way to make healthy alternatives to sugar loaded drinks. The tumbler is easy to use, both at home and at the office, and really easy to clean as both lids can be removed. The strainer keeps all the tea leaves inside unlike the flimsy mugs with only a small filter at the top. No leaks so far. Overall, I enjoy this tumbler. It encourages me to drink tea more often :-) The travel sleeve is an added bonus and it protects the glass. I highly recommend it for any tea drinker, and I’ll definitely buy more as gifts.

Poor build quality
Major issue is the tea strainer doesn't fit onto the lid properly and no matter how you try to screw it on, it ends up being crooked (as shown in photo). Additionally, unsure if it is a manufacturing defect of the cup or I haven't gotten used to using it yet, but it will occasionally leak and I will have to readjust the gasket to ensure a proper seal. To be quite honest, never had to fiddle with the gasket in other bottles. Expected better quality for this price.
