Pool cue cleaning & burnishing.
I retip Pool Cues for people as Dom’s Billiard Services in Ceres, CA. I’ve been doing it for over 10 years. This is my favorite tool to clean a shaft with and burnish tips with. I sold these over the counter for many years too. Here is how it works. You know that green and yellow Brillo sponge you use to scrub and clean dishes with? Well, this works similarly. The dark side removes dirt and oils off the wood surface of your pool cue shaft. Center it green side up in your palm. Wrap your cue in it and stroke the cue inside it closing your palm and do so at 6-10”” strokes from the end backwards. Then move the cue up that distance. Do the middle of the cue shaft and repeat to the next area till you’ve scrubbed all of the surface you stroke when shooting pool. Once you’re done scrubbing all contaminates from the wood, repeat with the light beige leather side. I’m going to do a tutorial with one tonight on my YouTube channel. You can also find it on my insta and FB pages.Dom. V. AKA Dom’s Billiard Services. As for the picture, that’s how aLePro top looks like after burnishing it with this pad.

Best burnish I've gotten but just way too freaking small!
Pros: exceptional results, different textured sides for different purposes, simple, very inexpensive, not time consuming, not much mess, takes next to no space in cuecase.Cons: it's too small in my opinion. Thats it.Only 1 con, and it's not really anything? Actually, it's kinda huge, at least to me. I've used numerous other similar patches and products, this one absolutely has netted the best end results. No contest. Ten minutes with this and my cue shaft felt smoother than when brand new (minus a couple dings anyhow). I even pulled a brand new unused shaft out of it's packaging to check that.Unfortunately this product is simply too small, and that's its Achilles tendon. It constantly fought to slip out of hand, and succeeded several times. I caught all but one of those slips. The one i didn't catch resulted in a couple new divots in the shaft. This product slipped from my hands, the cue latched on for a millisecond and took off. Lesson learned, don't simply "palm " this product. Switched to lightly wrapping this around my cue, but that left very little to try and hold on to. It kept trying to remove itself from my hand.I love the end results, but i loathe the hassle and the risk of more damage. Make this even just one inch larger and I'd order it over and over and over again. I would order them for every player on each of my drinking teams. I'd order them for family and friends. I'd offer them up during our league white elephant exchange.But.... this thing is not adequately sized so I'm still stuck trying to figure out all those bloody gifts to order instead.

small, but works
as described, small circle but fits in my cue case pouch without issue. I'd prefer a larger one next time.

Low cost and effective.
A must have for serious players. Use for maintenance or touch ups during play.

professional
It did not look like much but sure does the job great! It also works on composite shafts no scratches.

Smaller then Expected
This is way smaller then expected and although it did a decent job of smoothing out the shaft it definitely won't last very long.

Beats powder or a Glove
Beats powder or a Glove. I swipe my Cue Shaft with the Q-Wiz about every third time I take a shot. I normally have sweaty hands and always needed to powder-up. No problem now...other than my buddies trying to walk off with it.

All you need
I've use many products to clean and keep my shaft smooth. All you need is a damp cloth to clean the shaft. A dry cloth to take the dampness from cleaning off the shaft. The Cue Wiz is great for a light sanding and then flip it over and use the other side to seal the shaft. No wax needed. Once your done with the Cue Wiz, run it under some water to clean it off and let it dry. Like new again.
