- Emergency Blanket for Camping, Car, First Aid, Survival, 4 Pack

The Swiss Safe XL emergency Mylar thermal blankets are exactly what you want from a survival essential—simple, ultra-light, and designed to retain heat when it matters most. This 10-pack is especially practical for anyone building out a car kit, camping setup, or home emergency supply. Each blanket is individually packed and folds down incredibly small, which makes them easy to store just about anywhere—glove box, backpack, first aid kit, or emergency bag. Despite how thin they are, they reflect and retain body heat effectively, which can be critical in cold or unexpected situations. The XL size is a big advantage. Compared to standard space blankets, these offer better coverage, which helps trap more warmth and allows for wrapping or layering more comfortably. The material is durable enough for short-term emergency use without tearing easily when handled carefully. These are especially useful for: Emergency roadside kits and vehicle preparedness Camping, hiking, and outdoor survival situations First aid and shock prevention in cold conditions Disaster preparedness kits at home Backup warmth in power outages or unexpected weather They also work well beyond just warmth—can be used as ground cover, wind barriers, rain reflectors, or even makeshift signaling materials thanks to their reflective surface. Overall, this is a low-cost, high-value item that earns its place in any emergency kit. You don’t think about it until you need it—but when you do, it can make a real difference.

I recently acquired the Swiss Safe Emergency Mylar Thermal Blankets, and I must say they are an absolute essential for anyone who values preparedness and safety. These thoughtfully designed blankets have proven to be a lifesaver in challenging situations, and I am thoroughly impressed with their quality and functionality. One of the standout features of these blankets is their construction. Made from durable and tear-resistant mylar material, they are designed to withstand harsh conditions and provide reliable insulation. The blankets effectively reflect and retain up to 90% of body heat, ensuring that you stay warm even in cold environments. This is particularly crucial in emergency situations or during outdoor activities where hypothermia and exposure are potential risks. The compact and lightweight design of the blankets adds to their practicality. Each blanket is individually packaged, making them easy to store, carry, and distribute. Whether you're a hiker, camper, or simply an individual who values preparedness, these blankets are a valuable addition to your emergency kit, backpack, or car. Another impressive aspect of the Swiss Safe Emergency Mylar Thermal Blankets is their versatility. They offer a range of uses beyond their primary function as emergency blankets. They can be used as ground covers, makeshift shelters, or even as a signaling device due to their reflective nature. The inclusion of four blankets in a single pack ensures that you have ample supply for various needs or for sharing with others in need. Furthermore, the bright orange color of the blankets enhances visibility, making them easily identifiable in emergency situations or when used as a signaling device. This feature is particularly beneficial in outdoor settings or during search and rescue operations. The overall quality and attention to detail in the design of these blankets are commendable. The edges are reinforced to prevent fraying, ensuring their longevity and durability. The material is odorless and non-toxic, which adds to their safety and usability. In terms of value for money, the Swiss Safe Emergency Mylar Thermal Blankets are an excellent investment. Considering their high-quality construction, versatility, and the fact that they come in a pack of four, they provide exceptional value and peace of mind. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Swiss Safe Emergency Mylar Thermal Blankets to anyone in need of a reliable and versatile emergency preparedness solution. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast, a frequent traveler, or someone who wants to be prepared for unexpected situations, these blankets deliver on all fronts. With their durability, effective heat retention, and multiple uses, they are an indispensable tool that can potentially save lives. Invest in the Swiss Safe Emergency Mylar Thermal Blankets and be ready for any situation that comes your way.

Size does matter and it was the first thing that attracted me to this blanket vs the others that were smaller. It really is true, big things do come in small packages and this is a pure example of 10 large size ‘blankets’ that could probably fit in a snack size single serve bag of chips. I ordered these specifically for the cold front that was coming in and the shelter being constructed for the outdoor stray cats. It wouldn’t be anything too fancy, but the blankets would be worked into the exterior layer of the structure to hold in the heat from the cats and the heating pad (similar to using mylar in a greenhouse with lamps). It’s the perfect solution!!! It’s inexpensive, lightweight, takes up little space, easy to work with (unless you puncture it), waterproof, wind resistant, and most importantly it is extremely effective at reflecting 90% body heat back at you. Anyway, it’s great to have the extras that I can store in the car, house & backpack in case of blizzard, avalanche or other no heat emergency situations. One blanket was tested outside (43°F w/wind) on my husband (6’4” wearing short sleeves) and he found it effective in coverage & keeping his entire body warm. As for the cats? When they do come out from their shelter they are warm & toasty! Fur and ears are warm to the touch, and noses have returned to their normal pink! Did you know you can use their nose as a temperature gauge? Anyway, as the saying goes, ‘it’s better to have and not need, than to need and not have’. I’m not only glad to ‘have’ these blankets as part of my emergency & greenhouse supplies, but it’s common sense. Mylar blankets are not only for outdoorsy types and survivalists, but for everyone’s safety & emergency kit. Who would of thought a “polar vortex” would bring so much snow to Louisiana or Florida? What if it happens again and you lose power? -Be prepared. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for: large size, good quality, apparently durable, and at a good price point. When spring comes about, I’ll probably place another order for use in the greenhouse. Highly recommend! +Cats recommend!

These are about as advertised, and function like just about any other fire/emergency blanket. They will keep you warm and the camo can keep you hidden. They are very lightweight and compact, so you can put them in your pocket if you're going out into the woods or wherever you may roam. One will keep you warm and dry for the night. They are reusable to a certain point, but because they are very thin, there's only so many times you can roll them up and reuse before they start falling apart. Also they make a lot of noise, just like any large plastic sheet would.

Great quality and works great. We use them to teach our scouts wilderness survival.

I purchased these to put in my car as part of my safety gear. I have not used them yet and I hope I do not have to. Just knowing I have them in case my car breaks down during Montana winters is comforting.

I keep these in my car and my hiking pack. I feel better knowing if my car breaks down in the winter or I get lost in the woods, I won't freeze. And they are so little, you hardly know they are there!

I got these to help reflect the sun in a hot climate and use as both a window cover and for general hiking / emergencies and novelty. I love Emergency blankets for the novelty of reflecting all the heat in, plus two layers of blankets blot out all the sun and helped chill a room we had from 95-105 F to 80 F just off the sun alone! That's huge for our bright and sunny climate, since we had a wide open un UV treated window that just heated up the house like a little burning greenhouse effect. For what it's worth, we had some other 2$ safety blankets we got at the local store. Theirs were a bit more sturdier but crinklier, (Maybe like, 0.7 oz vs 1-1.4 oz feel). But considering you kinda sometimes want a safety blanket to be light and portable that could be a pro or con. They are noticeably thinner though noticeably just as shiny and well compacted and folded. They are noticably lighter and thinner vs my other, which would probably make them a better one time use or hiking blanket than the others. Though in terms of the space blanket effect it still feels every bit as strong. (It is a very shiny thinner blanket.) It seems to reflect well and be good for camping and a great sun cover. It just might not survive say a beating as much if say, wanted to use it as a backup tarp over the thicker one. But it does seem like it would be good for it's intended hiking and emergency blanket use or hiking/camping as a over coat and does feel quite pull resistant. The mylar is still very nice and resists pulls very well so it should be fine for sleeping, but another one we used to cover another object almost immediately punctured as soon as a rough metal hinge rested on it. I wouldn't use it for as heavy duty or tarping stuff as the other one, but it's great at it's intended lightweight emergency blanket / sun cover purpose. It does block the sun very well and seem to be a good emergency blanket though!

I keep it in my med kit for emergency purposes
