Big improvement over Bobcat indoor antenna
Received my Bobcat 300 miner a week ago but was struggling to get any witnesses with the stock indoor 4dBi antenna (probably due to metallic clad insulation in my bungalow's roof space). I knew I needed to get an external antenna but wasn't sure of which dBi to go for. Considering the density of hotspots in the Glasgow southside area I opted to try this 3dBi antenna and so far it has made a massive improvement to my witnesses, witnessing and rewards. After only two days I am already doing much better than I was and this should pay for itself in about a week at this rate. Contemplating upgrading again to a 6dBi but will wait to see how the 3 dBi continues to fair and also to see the effect (if any) POCv11 has on higher gain antennas. The included cable connects directly into the Bobcat without the need for an adaptor (though one is included).

Time will tell if it works.
Price attracted me, along with quick delivery. Booked an aerial engineer to fit as it was above 30ft up a chimney. As he unwrapped the cable, both adapters slipped off. He declared it faulty and cheap. As he was waiting and I had no alternative, I clamped both ends on and asked him to fit. Time will tell if it works better than the stock internal aerial or if I have to buy a new cable and pay for that to be fitted. In summary… Antenna looks ok. Cable v poor.
