Digital Thermostat Controller Socket Outlet, UK Plug 230V/16A Temperature with Heating Cooling Mode, LCD Screen for Greenhouse Aquarium Reptile Terrarium (Controller Socket-2)

Product required for cooling PV inverter during Summer. The Cooling/Heating mode is the mode for this. Have not tried the other four Modes. Screen is clear - a standard LCD display. Probe temperature is reasonably accurate, perhaps a little high? There is no Probe temperature calibration/adjustment. There is no backlight on this model. The instructions imply there are separate models that have those features? Not sure where from. The setup/UI is intuitive for the most part... COOLING mode is automatically set if the START temperature is set greater than the STOP temperature. Vice versa for HEATING mode. That is, the mode can not be set directly. Hence, the device output is OFF until the PROBE temperature exceeds the higher START temperature. It then remains ON until the probe temperature drop below the lower STOP temperature. The difference between START and STOP temperatures acts as a buffer. Its vice versa to set Heating mode. There are other (very!) similar products on Amazon, but this one seemed to have clearest instructions and lower price. The printed instructions with the product, are less clear, but mostly not necessary. A cheaper, more flexible option than stand-alone 'cooling fans with sensor' (IMO!)...

Device works very well and is accurate but next time I’d buy one with backlighting. It very hard to read as the screen does not illuminate.

Plug works well, I use it to control a heat mat. Temperature seems accurate enough as I've tested it with another thermostat I have. The only downside is the display isn't very bright. My plug sockets are visible but have little light shining on it. The display is very dim without light. However if your purpose is for more Temperature control, I wouldn't let the display bother you

They are not reliable, in the end I removed them and replaced a full system as I spent more time checking on the timer than using it.

A versatile plug in timer/thermostat, I am using this to switch on a fan when the temperature rises, to cool some equipment, and it appears to work well, I have not tried the other features, it was easy to setup for the appplication I needed it for, and best of all it keeps its settings if it loses power, and does not need batteries.

I programmed the thermostat which regulated the heater for a while and then switched mode and was off. The instructions were useless as they did not enable me to use this product. I believe the product to be faulty but cannot return it to Amazon

I don't know how accurate it is - but it's accurate enough for my needs. I have one plug in my server cabinet that turns on the case fan when the temperature exceeds 35C and then turns the fan off at 30C. I have one in my loft that controls a fan pointed at my Helium miner (network enabled radio device). Both have worked flawlessly since purchasing them. They are easy to setup and well made.

Works well and consistently.
