BOSCH T4B Gravity-Rise Miter Saw Stand with Wheels for Miter Saws

I rarely write product reviews, but the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise Miter Saw Stand is so good that I was compelled to. The box it arrives in is very large. And heavy. Really heavy. Feel sorry for the FedEx guy kind of heavy. You'll need some space to unpack the contents and assemble the stand. I have a walk out basement, and did part of the assembly outside. I also have a Bosch table saw that came with its version of this stand that is equally good. Compared to the table saw stand, the miter saw stand seemed easier to assemble, with fewer nuts and bolts. Assembly is straight forward, provided you pay attention to the instructions and refer to the parts diagram. Two tool mount assemblies bolt permanently to the bottom of your miter saw. They allow you to remove the saw (relatively) easily from the stand, and lock onto the aluminum rail with solidly locking clamps. Off the stand, they act as feet, so you could build a miter saw bench around them, if you have one saw for both shop and portable use. The tool mount assemblies are genius! Each one has an integrated front and rear threaded nut for bolting on the saw from above. The rear one is on a sliding mechanism, and the front one is on a swiveling mechanism. This allows them to accommodate the different bolt hole patterns of different manufacturers. Contrary to a previous review, the stand mounts a Milwaukee 6955 without taking anything apart. Just go to the hardware store and get yourself four 8mm x 40mm, 1.25 pitch socket head cap screws. The socket head caps fit perfectly in the Milwaukee's hex shaped mounting holes, and are tightened with an allen key. Neat, clean, and simple. The Milwaukee's front mounting holes are slightly farther apart than the rear ones, but the self adjusting nature of the tool mount assemblies accept the saw with no problems. Once completed, the stand is rock solid, and rolls easily on the large wheels. Combined with the saw, it's pretty heavy. Probably 150 or so pounds. But all that mass and the wide stance keep it from being top heavy or unstable. Loading it onto a truck without a ramp of some kind is going to be a two man job. This isn't a factor for me, since I got this because I don't have a permanent shop space, and have to put my tools away after use. The stand can be folded and stored vertically with the saw mounted. The only complaint I can drum up, is that while there is room on either side of the saw for some small accessory "table extensions" for working with small stock that could attach to the rail, Bosch doesn't offer anything like this. You can easily make them yourself, but it would be nice if the rail had pre-drilled mounting points, or accessory mounts were available. All in all, a truly excellent product in both design and execution. Worth every penny, and really kind of a bargain at this price for what you're getting.

I have had a lot of different miter saw stands with a lot of different miter saws. I own the Bosch TS4100 table saw which I purchased with the table saw version of the Gravity-Rise Stand. I loved it so much that when it was time to buy another Miter Saw I looked at this product first and compared it to other stands. While this was the most expensive stand I looked at I decided it was worth the extra expense because of my own experiences. 1) Just like the Gravity-Rise stand on my TS4100, it is solidly built of steel. (the top rail that the saw clamps to on the T4B is aluminum). 2) This is hands down the fastest stand to set up. I can literally get it out of the truck and have it set up and cutting in just over a minute. (provided I don't have to run an extension cord) Really! When time is money this is extremely important. The more time it takes me to set up means the less time I have to make a living, it adds up. 3) You can leave the saw on the stand without ever taking it off... Ever. It can stay on for storage, transport, or stay configured as a long term work station and it is stable in all configurations. 4) If you need to take the saw off because you want to place on a bench or you have to go through a very narrow space then you just need to twist tow nobs and the part of the stand that holds the saw to the top rail comes off and moves with the saw. It even has rubber feet on it so you can use the saw that way without the stand. It is rare that you would but have on occasion needed to do this. 5) The wheels on the stand are of good size, wide, and I believe pneumatic which lets the saw roll over what ever you need to on a job site like; Soft dirt, rocks, scraps of framing lumber, air hoses, extension cords, up stairs, door thresholds, grass, etc. 6) I put the "Hitachi C12RSH 15 Amp 12-Inch Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser" on this stand. This is a VERY HEAVY saw. This stand lets you move it around with ease. Some of my older miter saw stands needed to be broken down to move from place to place and this saw is heavy enough that I feel fortunate I don't need to do that hardly ever. 7) This stand costs almost as much as the saw itself which at first is hard to swallow. In the end though I have found that the stand either makes or breaks the saw. If you stand sucks then so does the saw and visa versa. I have a great saw, a great stand, everything is easy to use. This makes for a better product and better productivity. The list can keep going but hopefully I have made my point. Yes it is expensive but all I can say it is money well spent. I am very happy with this stand and I would buy it again if I without a second thought. If you find a better, more easy to use stand that is as versatile I would like to know about it because I have looked. I have owned nine other stands pervious, more if you count the ones I have built myself. I can confidently say from my point of view that there is nothing better. Even when I look at this thing from a shop saw point of view it makes sense. When I used to keep the saw on the bench it got in the way. My folding miter stands also got in the way because they were to much of a pain to take apart a set up so I would leave them set up all the time and against the wall. This stand lets me put the saw away when I don't need it, boom extra space. The set it up again when I need it, boom instant saw when I need it. I have 900sqft of shop floor, might sound like a lot but it gets small fast. This stand also lets me stay flexible and versatile with my shop space and layout. Expensive but definitely worth it. My saw is better because of the stand.

My wooden saw bench, custom built and designed to sit on a couple of sawhorses, worked great, but it was large (8’ long), heavy, a pain to store, and not conducive to frequent moving. My needs changed, and I wanted something more portable and easier to store. So I went back and forth between this and the Dewalt stand, mainly due to cost. Turns out that this stand is well worth the extra money. It was a bit of a chore to assemble, but that’s hardly a drawback since it only has to be done once. It’s heavy, and with the saw, it’s very heavy. But it moves around surprisingly easily, and when folded up, stands in place without any tendency to tip. It’s much more convenient than my old setup, as I can store the stand with the saw attached. It’s sturdy, stable, and wheels around pretty easily with the saw mounted. Although It took me a couple of tries to figure out how operate it, once I got it, it sets up into working position without much fuss. In fact, given its weight, I am pleasantly surprised at how easily it sets up for work. The saw clamps in place very securely. The extension arms work well. The build quality is very good, as I have come to expect from Bosch. I am very pleased with this stand, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable miter saw stand. UPDATE 3/15/24: After using this stand for a while now, I want to reiterate my 5 star rating. The more I use this stand the more I find it to be a game changer. I can load and unload the stand with the saw attached, by myself, into my Suburban. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it sooner. Live and learn.

Really pleased with this stand over all. Assembly is fairly straight forward. A few simple tools and 30-45 min and it's up and ready to go. Some additional tweaks to some of the mfg assembly joints tightening the overall assembly yielded a much more solid and 'tighter' miter stand than others I've worked with. Leveled out the stand and proceeded with mounting my miter saw. While this stand was not designed to mount my Hitachi 10" compound miter saw, or any Hitachi from their provided compatibility chart, I was able to make it work with little effort through the use of a 1/4" aluminum base plate mounted on the provided rails. My Hitachi and many Hitachi miter saw employ a 3-point mount rather than the traditional 4-point on Dewalts, Milwaukee, and of course Bosch. My mod worked out perfectly I might add. I can still remove the saw from the stand with the mounting rails attached and not lose the rail alignment for a quick attachment back to the stand. This stand does cost a little more than others I've seen. However, as an Engineer I will say it's well engineered and utilizes good design and materials. The solidest miter stand I've used. Sets up easy, stores easy, and handily moves around. Cons to this stand; I don't care for the wheels. While I tightened the axil of the wheels they still see underrated, too much play (axial run out) for heavy contractor use. Although time will tell. Also I've found that the saw mounting rails do not slide easy on the main rail. A somewhat poor clamping system on these mounting rails that doesn't necessarily clamp parallel inhibiting the lateral movement. Likely to be one of your, certainly mine, least adjusted features anyway. Overall a highly recommended purchase.

I just purchased the Bosch T4B Gravity Rise Miter Saw Stand, and have been very pleased with it! I tried a Dewalt Miter Saw Stand ($189) from Home Depot first, thinking that I could save some money, it wasn't a terrible product, but it was not the Bosch T4B by any means. I figured that I generally keep my tools for a long time, I like to buy quality, so that I only have to purchase them once. The quality of the Bosch can be noticed before you even open the box, it is heavy! It is well built on a heavy gauge steel frame with cross bars and heavy duty saw mounts. I think you could mount just about any miter saw to the universal removable quick release saw mounts. I really like how fast this stand goes up and in to action, even with a heavy miter saw mounted on it. The other thing I like, is that the wheels are large enough to actually go over objects like stairs and handle the weight of the whole stand/saw with no problem. The side extensions work well and are very nice to have, the support arms adjust to the height of just about any saw base, making a clean level extension that gives good support for longer boards on either side. Final words, it is typical Bosch quality product that is well designed and well worth the money. My advise spend the extra $$$ and have a miter stand that gets it the job handled the right way every time! My product was delivered to my home in excellent condition thanks to Amazon. This is certainly one of the nicer Mitre saw stands, and it should be for $300. It was fairly easy to setup, but it is heavy as it's frame is steel. I was using it with a M18 Milwaukee 10" saw and it fit and works fine. There were no instructions with mine, all the parts where there, so I found a youTube video showing assembly. One thing I'll note on assembly some of the pre-assembled parts have a lot of slop in them and no grease/lube on rotating/shaft parts. I took the time to disassemble those lube and reinstall them. The folding mechanism is very nice, in that you don't have to bend way over or use a lot of leverage. I also really like the knob tightening saw rails, in other units I've used with the quick release clamps they almost never fit tight/secure when installed so the saw can shift, with these you just tighten the knobs down and it's rock solid. It takes a bit more time but one reason to use a stand this heavy is for the extra stability. One area I think they could do better is the adjustable leveling feet pads, their contact patch is very small and would not work well in soft dirt etc., also they just undersized/weak compared to the rest of the unit. If I was loading this into the back of a pickup I think I'd probably go with one of the lighter non-rolling stands just because if you ever had to lift this stand even without the saw on it I'd much rather have one of the folding leg versions like the Dewalt Heavy Duty stand. If you had a ramp into a work truck or were just moving it around a work shop then absolutely the rolling stand is the way to go. Even stairs this certainly would go down stairs but I think I'd rather just carry a much lighter folding stand in those situations. For me I'm just moving it around my shop and it makes it very handy on my bad back not to have to pick it up to move it around.

I was hesitant to pay almost $400 for a stand, but found myself planning to swing by Menards on my way home from work to pick one up. My hesitancy caused me to do a quick search online for deals before pulling the trigger. I was happy to discover a $75 coupon on Amazon was available. Paired with 5% cash back on the Prime Visa, all my hesitance melted away! Set up took about an hour, and probably would have only been 45 minutes, had it not been 95 degrees and I'd not been in a hurry to get out of the screaming sun. If you follow directions and look at the diagrams carefully, it's totally possible to get it right the first time. I used the stand for the first time the weekend after purchasing it, and I've never had such a great experience working with my mitre saw. The stand is sturdy, durable, and the extending support arms made working with larger pieces of lumber a breeze. Really beats working on the makeshift table I'd put together for working. The ease of setup, closure, and transport makes me use my saw more frequently. Well worth the investment, and I highly recommend this stand to anyone looking for an upgrade or first purchase.

Amazing piece of engineering! Sturdy, easy to open and close for portability, configurable bolt holes in mounting clamps for attaching various brands of miter saws, well balanced mechanism for one-person operation. Would have preferred metal tightening knobs rather than plastic. Very pleased.

I was happy with the price and quality of the Bosch folding stand. I was looking at the Rigid but decided to go with the Bosch Anti Gravity stand. It arrived with no damage and was well packed. Assembly was pretty easy after watching a YouTube video and referring to the assembly manual. It didn’t take that long. Be sure not to over tighten the lock nuts where the stand folds. They are meant to be tightened with just enough friction to secure the nut and bolt but loose enough to allow the stand to easily fold. It is built heavy duty and supports the Makita 1219L perfectly with the adjustable mounting nuts. I really like the levelling adjustment bolts on the front frame. One pull on the small red locking lever and a pull on the main red large lever and the unit folds easily. Make sure you are hanging on though as it will drop fast. Would I recommend this Bosch Anti Gravity miter saw stand ...ABSOLUTELY .. just buy it!

I have a Bosch CM10GD and it is a beast in the weight department. I don't like cutting in the garage, so I was constantly lifting this thing and carrying it outside, setting up a stand and then reversing the procedure when I was finished. It was a chore and something I didn't look forward to. I looked at a number of stands, but none quite did everything I wanted... until this one. It's stable, has great support for material, stores the saw vertically to save space, fits a number of saws, and is very well built. But the best part is you can be up and running quickly. It now takes me less than 1 minute to have the saw set up and ready to cut. 30 seconds to wheel it out of the garage, another 10 seconds to open it and a few more seconds to plug it in. That's it. When I'm done, I simply reverse the process and it's back in the garage, securely stored, in under a minute. If you can get past the price, you will not be disappointed with this stand. There are certainly less expensive stands available, but none I've seen can touch this one. And if you can't get past the price, forgo a couple dinners out and get this one anyways -- that's how good it is.

Amazing stand. Looks great with the matching saw. I’m really happy. Easy to move around. Is it better than my previous stand? No, but it’s definitely better looking. It’s got a nice mechanism and it’s well made. My previous stand had rollers and the extension had 2 rods instead of one, more stable and was smaller

Great stand. Easy to use and store. Assembly instructions were fair at best but there are only a few pieces to assemble. Seeing some videos online about how it should look completed will help one put it together

The Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise Miter Saw Stand is big, heavy, and expensive. It also works flawlessly and can be handled by one person. I used to lug my Bosch 10" dual-bevel compound mitre saw outside every time I wanted to make a cut so that I didn't fill the basement with sawdust. That saw is heavy and awkward to move alone, and it was hard on my joints. I did that for 5 years, all the while coveting this stand. I found it hard to justify the price tag. I bought the Bosch table saw this year for another project and got a taste of the gravity-Rise stand in action. That was the difference. I bought the mitre saw stand, and I don't regret it. It makes moving the saw much easier (it's still some work as the saw and stand are very heavy). The built-in support extensions on the stand are excellent too. I am happy with it. No regrets.
