Display Replacement for Porsche 911 (996), Boxster 986 and Ruf Climate Control Unit

This was a super easy repair and now the A/C controller works perfectly and is like brand new. ***be sure to remove the protective clear film off of both the front and back when installing the new LCD display***

Change the screen on a Porsche 996, took no more than 15 minutes. It was pretty easy to do but take pictures as you disassemble so that you put it back in the correct order.. glad to get this fixed on the Porsche. I’m restoring. PS - its one thing to order and replace and another to understand. Did you know LCD technology was discovered in the 1800s? Look it up and read about it, its fascinating how it works and how it was developed. Well....we Porsche nerds like that stuff!!!

I just bought a 1999 Boxster, guess the climate LCD has been broke for years. It's very annoying not able to see what temperature or mode you're on. Looked it up in Amazon, saw exactly what I was looking for, purchased it and hope it works as advertised. You tubed some videos, as soon my package arrived, installed it and wow, it amazing! It works! Best $50 bucks I ever spent on my Porsche! Love it!

Great product. Took me 20 minutes to pull the ac unit and change out the display and put it back and power it for test. Part works as described. Just make sure you put the new display in the correct way up or you're be taking it apart again. Lol.

At first I thought I ordered the wrong one as there are many of these available and I usually go by high volume of ratings in the 4/5 star range, filtering out the obvious BS high and low ones. This one only had 1 review, so I was a bit concerned at first. I initially installed it incorrectly, once I figured out what I did wrong, it worked perfectly. Only thing I will say negative is that there are zero instructions, but if you are someone mechanically inclined you can figure it all out. Took about 5 mins to do once I removed the unit from the car.
