Hurst Reviews Pathophysiology Review 1st Edition

I love this book! I purchased it along with the Hurst Nclex review. I took my boards and did great. My only regret is not having this book when I was in nursing school! If I had, a lot more would have made since. Instead I rushed through right before my nclex. If you are not doing well in school, or not getting what you need from your Med-Surg text, this is a great book to explain what you need to know in simple terms! Then keep it for your boards to review. I also highly recommend the Hurst Nclex book as well!

I see from other reviews that this has been problematic for Kindles. I purchased this for my iPad and am happy to say that whatever problems Kindle users were having do not impact the iPad. I can see all the tables just fine. Beats hauling yet another book around for sure. I've only used one section (Fluid and Electrolytes) and have to say her writing style and ability to clarify is exactly what I needed to augment our stale lectures. Very happy with this addition to my text.

The Hurst Pathophysiology Review has been a great help in studying for my finals. I have taken the NCLEX-RN and have gone on to further my education. This book is helping me get through a very difficult course. A little side note, I took an NCLEX review by Marlene Hurst, and loved it. That is the main reason I purchased this product, the other reason was I needed an easy to understand pathophysiology guide. I found the help I was looking for in this book.

I dont own the hardcopy but i got this for my recently bought Kindle and the version for the Kindle, SUCKS!!! It was a complete waste of money since I could not even read the tables that appear in a lighter gray shade. I dont see the point in changing the color. The tables that exists in every chapter of the books are almost unreadable and UNBEARABLE. You will need a magnifying glass to be able to read the table because the fonts dont change even if you change the actual font on the kindle. Then, there are several chapters at the end of the book that are only available in the CD, which one could have availed with a hard copy of the book.From what I could read from the book, the "marlene moments" of the book were good since they help one remember certain important notes. But, I thought the bought was too simple and too basic that you could get a better understanding in your medical surgical book.

Handy book to have when you need to review Patho quickly.

Love this text!!!! I used Hurst reviews to get my LPN license as I wasn't feeling confident after finishing my first year (2 out of 4 nursing instructors were new and learning themselves 😓 and was was sick almost all of my final quarter😷 stupid asthma😨😩)

Another book of Marlene. She is great but sometimes too much explanation can be confusing. Overall good stuff for students.

I got this to review patho before taking Advanced Patho in a MSN program. I was pretty disappointed with the book. Although it gives a great summary of the basics, I feel that you would need to refer to your course textbook a lot for specifics. For me, too generalized.

I recently purchased this Pathophysiology review book I thought it was really well structured for a nursing student. I'm going through nursing school right now i'm in my 2nd year and patho isn't exactly the funniest thing in the world but this really helps you to put things into perspective. I could not of just studied this book though to pass my exam. It did not have al the facts that my Textbook did and you still need to refere back to your required textbook. However, all in all its a good read and can help you figure some things out. I reccommend for the struggling student.
