Kenwood KMR-D368BT CD/MP3 Marine Stereo Receiver with Bluetooth

I've been a fan of Kenwood decks for 20+ years. They're easy to use and they've always worked flawlessly for me (can't say the same for Sony or Blaupunkt). For such a cheap price, you're getting some great features in this receiver, such as the 6-channel 4-volt preamp outputs. It was easy to hook my amp up and the internal crossover, among other functions, makes it simple to tweak your system. It was also simple to connect the bluetooth. Two thumbs up!Update: Bluetooth has been flawless and it sounds great. I wish the display was a little brighter. It can be difficult to read if the sun hits it right. I was also hoping for improved FM reception over the stock receiver. Didn't happen. It will only pull in strong signals. I partly blame the boat's 'antenna', and use the term loosely because it's a cheap piece of wire running along the gunwale. I plan to add an aftermarket antenna.Update 2: Added an aftermarket antenna. Simply ran down the bottom of the gunwale, in place of the stock antenna. FM reception is greatly improved. I really like this deck!

Installed this head unit 2 weeks ago and sounded great but while I was listening to it this past weekend on my boat it shorted out and sparks came out the CD slot! Worst head unit I have ever bought!

This is a great buy, sounds good. Lots of features. Installed on my boat, like the Bluetooth.

So far so good.. replaced old head unit with this one. Haven’t tried blue toothed but the radio and media player work just fine..

I did not install in a boat. However, the Kenwood unit installed beautifully in the dash of my Chrysler Crossfire with no problems. I did use an aftermarket wiring harness available through AMAZON. On the harness, you will need to move and match the pin positions to the car side and use a volt meter to discover hot wires. Moving pins easy by inserting a needle to disengage lock tab. The radio has great features and functions to tailor to your listen.

good sound quality. However, the Bluetooth and app operation does not work very well. Very slow and clunky. The head unit is in our cabin. if you leave the cabin, less than 2 feet, you loose the controls and the sound quality. We just direct connect.

KMR is great if you put in a car or truck ...... Boat not a good idea!!! This was my second one in three months ... Opened the first one up and there's no water proofing at all and saw water damage .. ( fried )

I just installed this stereo yesterday, have not had it on the lake yet. This stereo was very easy to install and looks great. The sound quality is pretty good and so far no complaints. I purchased a Boss stereo last year and it only made it one season. I hope this stereo hold up better.
