This pull-up bar is..
A pretty nice pull up bar. It was super easy to assemble and the pipe seems like pretty sturdy material. The unit came in silver and I believe it was advertised in white but I like the color. Two of the plastic end caps were busted inward but I had two extras on the extensions so I'm good. These are for aesthetic or protective purposes and don't affect its functionality. There are also a few hard plastic bushings that seem good enough now but I wonder about in the long term but if they break they are easily replaceable with neoprene washers from your local hardware store. The grip points are fairly thin foam and seem okay but probably will wear with time. The unit itself seems pretty sturdy when installed. I believe that the design of bent pipes and 6 bolted connection points as well as the extra downward pressure on the frame from the extended grip positions contribute to the sturdy feeling of this pull up bar. Installation and removal is simple and is done with one easy movement. Hold unit at a diagonal angle with connection points situated respectively to the door frame on one side and above door on the other and push upward and twist into place, center above the opening and both sides of the frame and pull downward on the unit until it secures into place over and on top of the top frame and onto the side frames. I would err on the side of caution and give it a couple of good pulls and give it a test hang before going all-in. I weigh 175 lbs and I did some Pull-ups, chin-ups and knee raises and this thing felt solid and safe. I also tried band assisted Pull-Ups and it worked great. The wide pull up position, side grip and regular chin up positions extend up and away from the door frame which works nice with my step down to the hall! There are also lower grip positions in the center for chin-ups or Pull-Ups. Six different grip positions in all so it seems pretty versatile. I really like the sideways grip which was one of the determining factors of this purchase. As is I think that the hard plastic contact points would be hard on a painted wood frame. Most frames are beveled or cut where there are cornered edges so I suggest a bit of padding to help protect your frame. I have hard vinyl composite brown wood grain door frames so it seems to be doing fine but I will probably cut up a mouse pad or get some foam from the hardware store and put a bit of cushioning under the contact points. My opening is 36.5" inside dimension and with the extensions it fits perfectly centered on the door frame. This can also be used on the floor for raised push-ups, dips Etc.So far I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it. I went back and forth between this unit and a few that were cheaper and as far as functionality, a seemingly solid build and the extended positioning with multi grip points this just seemed like the best choice for me. I don't have experience with any other door frame mounted pull-up bars but so far I'm really happy with this one.

Sturdy and easy to put up/take down.
I opted for a "Used, Very Good" condition pull-up bar to save some cash, and it was a great choice. The only sign of use was the slightly dinged-up packaging—everything else looked brand new.I’m no handyman, so I initially quasi-panicked and nearly called my brother-in-law for help. But once I calmed down and studied the assembly diagram, it was surprisingly straightforward. TIP: the numbers in the diagram refer to part numbers, not the assembly order. That was a game-changer!I had 10 leftover parts, but no worries—they’re for wider doors, so I don’t need them. The bar feels sturdy and secure, and the handles have dense, durable foam grips that seem built to last.I’m thrilled with this purchase and can’t wait to start using it!

Robust. High quality.
Love it. It's heavy duty and feels rock solid. I love that it's elevated. I like the hand positions. The foam grips are great. It's very easy to put up and take down (or just leave it up). Doesn't damage the door frame. The only con is that I hit my head on it once while walking through the door. I'm 6'1. I hung some ribbons from it to remind myself to duck.

The Perfect Product
I have struggled with these my whole life as I am 6’3’’ and usually over 200 pounds. I also live in an apartment. This one is the best if your ceilings are tall enough. Love the vaulted arms so it actually works for someone tall AND is strong enough for it not to squeak or be sketchy. Pretty hard to put together but worth it considering all the custom washers. Quality product. I payed $65. They seem to change the price a lot. Was $120 for awhile.

Extremely sturdy and useful exercise bar
I was initially concerned after reading some of the negative reviews. But, I am thrilled with this purchase.Assembly was very easy. The unit is much heftier than my previous doorway chin-up bar. The individual tubes are also thicker than my previous bar. The unit fits in my doorway perfectly, though, as you can see from one of the close-up photos, I had to slide one of the resting pads down the tube on the left side to make better contact with the door frame. The unit is a good height and allows me to do my chin-ups and pull-ups with good clearance from the floor. Though, I am 5'9" and, with my reach, I can just grab the bar on my tiptoes.Because the bar is a little thicker than most cheaper doorway chin-up bars, some people with smaller hands may find grasping the bar a little difficult at first. But, I like the thicker bar because it actually helps me develop a stronger grip. I did purchase a couple of sets of SmartGrepp Weightlifting Grips to help me grasp the bar more securely.Bottom line...it works well for me. I believe that it's fairly priced, well-made, positions securely in the doorway and offers many more range of motion exercises than the cheaper alternatives.
