ive only used this a few times because for me its a bit cumbersome, but its does work and its kind of cute, since I use an empty altoids tin for an ashtray (and have for many years) I already have a "container" for my ashes and butts, and I can take my tin anywhere (and have) as soon as I close the tin, the smoke stops NOW. SO... using this is a bit of a hassel and since (as others have mentioned) its only grabbing the smoke when the cig is IN The ashtray... its a little pointless, unless you tend to light a smoke and walk away for 10 mins.? in which case maybe your not really a smoker after all! LOLI was mostly interested in a way to capture my smoke WHILE I'm actually smoking so I bought 3 little air cleaners and 3 bigger heppa cleaners and I haul the little white "True Air" around the house or situate it where I smoke most often and these are working great (O: I'm happy and my partner is happy (who doesn't smoke)

These are perfect for my smokeless ashtray! I don’t smoke cigarettes as I’m allergic but I use this for my medication. It’s very helpful. Yes you can still smell it but not as much and the smoke definitely goes into the filter as it’s pulled into the fan inside the ashtray. But only if the product is left sitting in the tray, not from the air. That’s what my purifier is for.

Yeah, they are filters, but they fit in an ashtray that is a total waste of money. If a cigarette is sitting in it, smoldering, yes, it disappears the smoke, but what about when you pick up the cig and inhale and exhale, are you going to blow into the ashtray? Just another gimmick that looks good, but impractical.

I never had a chance to even use this item because the ashtray is a joke to use and i had several friends look at ashtray and they all agreed you don't need to change filter unless you leave your lit cig sit in ashtray and you not smoke it yourself

I am a smoker, yeh I know I should quit, but this keeps my computer room smelling fresh, takes the smoke odor out of the room. Ty.

2 small 2" filters for basically $10? Other ashtray filters sell, like, 10 for the same price. I like the Holmes ashtray (when they work & miss the model with the plug-in adapter), so I need these filters. But they are ridiculously overpriced & expensive. I need to find a cheaper alternative.
