Feels cheap, poor magnet
After being misplaced for the last few weeks it finally arrived today, the "strong" magnetic base is not powerful enough to hold its own weight and falls off of any metal surface its attached to and im sure i have childrens fridge magnets that are better than this. Ill give it a bit longer to judge and come back for a follow up but so far it was a big waste of time

Dont recomend it
The antenna was poor quality for the price of $104 dollars I would recommend something else

THIS THING IS GARBAGE!
This is the most poorly manufactured junk antenna I have EVER come across. Kids walkie talkies have better antennas than this. It's basically a cigar sized plastic tube with a wire and a spring in it, and the spring is broken. It was broken before I removed it from the plastic. The SWR when tested with a VNA is infinity. It's supposed to be below 3. And that purple line in the picture is supposed to be straight or slightly curved, not look like pit full of spikes. It gets 1 star because I can't hit submit without a selection.

It works well
At first I didn't get any witnesses but then found out there was a HNT network issue. After that, this worked really well. It hit other hotspots up to 19km away. I'm using this only until my RAK 8 DBI antenna gets here so it was a little expensive for what I'm using it for. But on the other hand, the RAK antenna is coming from China so who knows when it'll get here due to the Plandemic. I have this magnetic mount on an unused electrical box that's grounded, sitting on a second story window sill, 6m up. When it's nice, I put it outside on the window sill. The RAK will be mounted 12m up to help get better coverage. But not until the weather breaks. I also experimented with a 12 dBi antenna from Vedio Aerial Systems. That antenna would be great for densely populated areas but I had to get out pretty far and that particular 12 dBi antenna didn't get out far but it did have great 180 degree coverage. Check out the Radon antenna on their site to see if it will work for you. UPDATE: After using this 8 dBi antenna combined with the original antenna I was above average according to the Helium app for 7D, 14D and 30 days. Not bad for only a handful of other hotspots within sight. Highly recommended!

Upgrade from 5.8dbi making less rewards?
Very nice sturdy antenna, but my rewards cut in half from the 5.8dbi I was using. It's only been two days so I'll wait a week before returning/writing another review.*EditReturned. My 5.8dBi performs much better.
