This is an amazing product. Sturdy and well-made. So helpful for my aging mom getting both in and out of the vehicle. Definitely would order this again. If you’re unsure, make check your vehicle to make sure this will fit your type of door locking/latching before ordering.

This support handle is a game changer. It coupled with a sturdy step stool have made entering and exiting my truck safer and far less painful.One downside to this particular car door assist handle, after using it a few times, it has started to shed its hand grip coating.

I purchased this for my dad after his knee surgery. He loves it, and how it makes getting out of the car easier. He's not nervous now trying to hold onto his cane and the car door since he has this. I think it would be handy thing for anyone that has had surgery and not just the elderly.

I got this for my elderly mom to use but because it felt too unstable prior to putting your weight on it, she couldn’t confidently use it. I’m sure it’s safe when properly placed and used but she couldn’t do it. It’s loose until you actually put weight on it. Anyways not great for a very old person who is struggling with strength and confidence.

My mom broke her hip and, while recovering, was worried about getting in and out of vehicles. With this device, she got in and out of cars with ease. It stores easily in the pocket of the car door, was easy to use, and held her 170 lbs. while remaining stable. It totally eliminated her fears, and she cannot stop thanking me for it: “That little handle is a godsend”. (It’s kind of cute how much she loves it.) Another tip from her physical therapist is to put a plastic bag upon the car seat (just lay it on top). Because it’s slippery, it helps the person swivel in and out of the seat, without the hindrance of any friction a cloth seat might produce against the person’s clothing.

I bought this for an elderly friend who was starting to find getting in and out of the car especially right now with all the ice. She feels more confident getting in and out and said it it made a huge difference in getting out of the car. I'm so glad I decided to get one!

My beloved partner struggles with back problems, and getting in and out of my Golf was a challenge for her. So I bought one of these for her. It drops into the door lock thingy just as the instructions say and makes it so much easier for her. I liked it so much I bought a second one for her car. And then a third one when she gave away the second one to a friend of hers who was suffering similarly.It's a solid chunk of metal, so no worries about durability, and has fitted all of the cars we've tried it on.
