It DOES light up!
I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 because the value for the money could be a lot better. You only get four strips that are 3-1/2 inches long, and about 3/4 inch wide.I had to cut one of the strips in half to evenly distribute on my helmet: one on back, one each on jawline, and half on each cheek of the full-face helmet. It sticks nicely and is pretty incognito... not perfectly but it looks just fine. The sticker have a gloss finish and my helmet is matte, but the stickers do not stand out like ugly sore thumbs. Remember, BEFORE you look at them and try to look at it in the dark with a flash light, take a pic of it with your phone, with flash ON... they will light up!

Black Labels That Glow Reflective Bright under Light
These labels go perfect with my black helmet. They are black, but when a light is shown on them they glow super reflective bright. ??? Don't know how this works, but I love it. Perfect.

Great Reflectivity - Meets French Helmet Law Standards
Very good retro-reflective stickers for your helmet. Meets the standards for French law requiring helmet reflectives to be on all sides of the helmet in case you are moving to or traveling through France on your motorcycle.They have been on my helmet for over 2000 miles now including rainy weather with no sign of coming off or any issues with them at all.
