Stop! Don’t buy! It does not work.
The readings are constantly below that of a glucometer by atleast 40-50 points. It’s dangerous to mislead diabetic patients. We bought this sensor when my mom had a heart surgery and we needed to monitor her blood glucose levels constantly, to use with the Libre link app on android phone. But even after 3-4 days of using the sensor, the readings never stabilized. They are always lower by 40 -50 points.Initially we thought the readings were correct, but when we cross checked with our glicometer, they were way off. This can be dangerous for diabetic patients who think that their numbers are normal. When we reached out to the Abbott customer care, they replaced it saying it’s defective but the second one was the same. We have not seen even one reading match with our glucometers. I can understand a difference of + or- 10 points but what we were seeing was highly misleading. When we asked for a refund they said they will not refund. Also, please note this thing works only for 14 days annd they have an 3 day stabilization period! Adding to that the price is outrageous for this product with such bad performance. It’s outright cheating!

A breath of fresh air!
I'm writing this as t1d of 15 years. I have been accustomed to the normal pricking glucometer which is hassle for frequent monitoring especially when you're sugar levels fluctuate and you need to monitor them round the clock for good control. This device is amazing! It is pretty easy to install and use and the best part is the data! You get to see you're estimated A1c readings based on last 14 days readings. You need only scan the sensor and you get the reading! I see complains about the reading not being accurate. I would like to highlight that there is always a margin or error +-10 from what is the actual one which should be acceptable. Only con is the price , I simply cannot afford to have it all the time at the moment. I would ask the abott India team to lower the price by 20-30 % atleast. Also this one does not have the low glocose proactive alarm that only comes with v3 which is yet to release in India.

Avoid buying this sensor from Amazon
I received a broken Freestyle Libre sensor from Amazon, and despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I was refused both a replacement and a refund. The customer service leadership team ended the chat abruptly when I politely asked for a resolution.I spent ₹5,254, and I now have no working sensor and no support. This experience has been extremely disappointing, especially for a critical medical device. I expect better from both Amazon and the seller when it comes to handling defective health-related products.

A great CGM for health conscious diabetes
This is my 2nd sensor and I must say it has been extremely helpful to monitor and regulate my sugar levels. Also stay tuned for a small tip to extend the sensor life by about 12hrs at the end.The best part of this sensor has been the abilty to understand how my body processes food and prevents going lows. I have learnt how my sugars fluctate at night and how they work during the day. How my sugar responds to when I go running was something I always wondered since I run a lot and before it was not possible to check my glucose during workouts. The sticker of the sensor is very good and sticks well with no discomfort or itch. The sensor application too is painless and pressing on the sensor after application too does not cause any pain. I was initially worried the sensor may get loose when turning in bed during sleep, but no it holds very good. Taking showers is also no problem. Now the tip to extend the sensor life by half a day. I realised the sensors life is actually pegged at 14.5 days and even after the sensor has expired as per the reader its still continues to work. You can install the GLIMP app on your Android phone (no iOS app) and still get the reading for another 12 odd hours. It's a great buy for all diabetes but I am not happy with the reader, the review of which I have left on the reader product page. Read that too to get a complete picture of the system and how to live it.

Not working
I have ordered this multiple times. However the last two sensors I received are not performing as they should. Extremely low readings are displayed when compared to strips and lab results ( up to 50 mg/dl lower). These sensors are expensive and I feel.cheated.

Initial Frustration, Resolved After Support Follow-Up
Initial Feedback:This was my first time using a CGM patch. I followed the instructions carefully and cleaned the application site before applying it. Unfortunately, the patch came off within an hour, which was quite disappointing, especially given the high cost. I reached out to the company, but they initially refused to offer a replacement, despite their official policy stating they would do so if the patch came off before the end of the usage period.Update:After further communication, the company eventually agreed to send a replacement, so I’m updating my rating. I took extra care with the second installation and followed these steps to improve adhesion:- Shaved any hair from the application site.- Cleaned the area thoroughly with an alcohol wipe.- Applied a patch sticker over the sensor for added protection (this wasn’t included in the kit, and I had to purchase it separately. I wish they had included this).- Avoided exercise or sweating for the first few hours to allow the adhesive to form a strong bond.So far, the second sensor has stayed in place and worked well. While I wish the first experience had gone more smoothly, I'm glad it was ultimately resolved.I will update my rating to 4 stars if it lasts the entire 14 day duration.
