Informative, good book
I’m using this book for my abstract algebra class in college. I like this book, it isn’t difficult to read on your own and follow the material. They also include solutions to some of the exercises in back which is helpful. I ordered it used and it had writing all throughout it and a broken spine but I didn’t really mind.

This book is well written and makes going through its many proofs fairly easy. The author did a good job making the work understandable and easy to learn from.

Abstract Algebra
The book was shipped promptly. I attended only one class without having the book with me. This was the required book for a class I am taking so I did not really have an alternative. It seems like a very good text. Today a significant fraction of the students taking this class are students pursuing a license to teach math at the secondary level. It is nice that they have a textbook focused on their needs.

I had to buy this book for my abstract algebra class. It had some clear ideas and helped me understand the concepts.

Not a Good Textbook
This book sucks. I’ve been teaching math for over a decade. There are not enough examples and the explanations are bleak. Unless you are a math person, I’d steer clear of this textbook. Book was in good used condition.

Good purchase experience.
I was pleased with the process of buying this book. I received it in a timely manner, and under good conditions. About the book: Abstract Algebra is not an easy subject, and it does take time, and an iterative practicing attitude to fully understand what is being taught by the book. The book is not an easy read, and could improve here and there, but giving more details would be beyond the scope of this review. Again, I am please with the purchase, as everything was delivered in time, and as stated, in good conditions.
