3000 miles no issues at all
I was concerned from other reviews about the bars cracking when being torqued properly but i set them up going .5nm less than recommended and had no issues. Been riding them on a gen 8 trek madone for over 3000 miles and no issues. I am 210 pounds and have not been easy on them by any means. Done plenty of 1200+ watt sprints wrenching on these bars and no issues. I even gained enough trust to order a set for my gravel bike. For $50 you can’t beat it!

Heck yeah! Carbon for the poors!
25+ year road rider. I’m 5-9 and female. Got these 42’s mounted to replace aluminum non aero 44’s over the weekend and squared up my shoulders. So far so good. They look and feel great. Just a tiny bit of bounce smoothed out the ride a bit. Do it. $62? I’ll do it again in a second. I’m gonna get the matching carbon stem.

A magnificent design, if carefully installed
There's very little to dislike about this handlebar, aside from the importance of careful installation. I read/saw reviews of these here before installing and was careful about prep and also correct bolt torques. I used traction paste on the bars (sort of like a paste with little grit particles in it), and did a tiny amount of micro-shaping on the sharp square edges of the handlebar flanges in my stem. Just a little round off filing of those knife-edge stem flanges, where the stem edge can make a stress point for the handlebar if left there.I was delighted at being able to run my cables inside the bar, for a clean, sleek custom look. Again though, I did have to invest in a little cable/magnet tool here on Amazon, for guiding the leader thru the bar each time.I just love the ergonomics of this bar. At first I didn't fully comprehend, the key advantage of the bar's flat section. If one takes the time and effort to exactly position the brifters, you'll find you can literally use those flats as integrated 'highway bars' - without the weight and dorky look of those sticking out on your bike. It's a little cramped shoulder-spacing-wise when using them this way; but then so are highway bars. This handlebar is light as heck, but solid as a rock; and I've used it now for 6000 miles on my Aventon Soltera 7 which I converted into a road bike with this and a set of Shimano 2x7 brifters. Oh and the paint - glorious, brilliant in the sun, and supremely durable! Thanks for this wonderful product. I'd have paid twice as much or more - if knowing what I now know about how superior it is.

So far have been awesome, especially for the money.
I wanted bars which I could still add TT bars to so that’s how I ended up with these instead of a full carbon integrated stem version. Honestly, I was pretty impressed - they felt great, looked great and worked fine on my first 20 mile ride with them today. So far, the only problem I have with them is with me trusting them with my life when I’m headed into a bumpy section at 40+mph. I kept thinking “what if they snap off at the stem?” I guess I find it hard to trust these the same way I would trust a $600 Trek version or a $100 aluminum one, but that’s not the fault of the bars and they haven’t given me any reason not to trust them so far - will update my review if that changes. I give them a 4 out of 5 for the cable routing, it is a bit of a pain in the rear.

Incredible value - Light, strong, and aero!
In full disclosure, this is my 2nd "overseas" carbon handlebar setup. The reason for buying this was the 1st one was - after thousands of miles - subject to a hairline crack right above the right brifter clamp after hitting a bridge expansion joint on a descent. Fortunately THAT one didn't fail catastrophically, and I was able to complete the ride while nursing the right side...Enter this product.WOW. It just amazes me that name brands will charge north of $250 for a similar product. I'm not an engineer, but this one appears to be made rock-solid. The old one (that failed and I replaced) had much more flex in the drops out of the box, and not knowing any better I just assumed it was normal. This one doesn't noticeably flex in the drops or while sprinting, inspiring much more confidence.I'll never go back to traditional, aluminum round bars. The comfort and aesthetic upgrade from these is outstanding, and I'd recommend to any rider looking for better ergonomics, aerodynamics, and weight savings.

Cracked when I torqued the stem bolts
I bought two sets of these handlebars two years ago and love them. They look great, are stiff, and are a comfortable shape. I decided to buy two more pairs. When I mounted the third pair they started making cracking sounds as soon as I put the slightest bit of pressure on the bolts. Just before I reached 5nm on my torque wrench the bars yielded a large crackling sound. When I removed the stem I found the crack in the photo on the clamping surface. After removal I checked the clamping surface with calipers to make sure that the surface is round. Even with the crack the bars are plenty stiff, but I would never ride them. After removing pair number four I installed a pair of Ritchey aluminum bars on the same bike and had no issue. I then removed them and installed my fourth pair of RXL bars on the same bicycle. Unfortunately this pair was from a different mold. I used the same cris-cross pattern that I had used with the other handlebars and the fourth pair installed without a problem. I cannot visibly see an issue with the third pair apart from the crack. I can say that I’m glad they failed while I was working on my bike and not while I was riding it.
