Folkmanis Skunk Hand Puppet

Awesome super cute, he goes well in my collection

I bought this skunk for my 18 m/o granddaughter who loves/hates skunks. This stuffed animal is very well made, a great size, and perfect for any age. I always read reviews prior to purchases. One review for this skunk was negative saying the opening for your hand (it is a puppet) was way too little and this man commenting said he could not get his hand in it. Another reviewer said they had to cut the opening to get a hand inside. I am a relatively small female and my hand fits, although it is a little tight. However, this is a child’s toy so to me that says the opening will accommodate a child’s hand very well and it does. This little skunk is well worth the money and I will be looking at what other animals this company has to offer.

So, my young son wanted a pet skunk. Obviously we can't do that, so this is the next best thing, and he named it Sam and carries this hand puppet around everywhere. One thing to note is that if you have larger hands, this is pretty difficult to figure out how to use, as the item is small and the holes for the arms are pretty small as well so it's hard for me to use it as an actual puppet—however, my son can. Overall, this is a great little skunk puppet for kids.

super cute, but too small for an adult hand

My 13 year old son started his collection of these stuffed puppet animals when he was barely a toddler. Today, he still treasures every single one that has survived this long. This little guy is perfect: well-made, precisely as described. Highly recommended.

Oh how I love him!! His expression is the best and he is a nice size. Moving the mouth (used as puppet) is awkward, but moving the front paws is easily done.

too small for the average hand. not as it appears on Amazon. very dissapointed.

Three stars because the hole for the hand is super small. It might be fine for a small child but not for older kids or adults. But it's very cute.

Good quality hand puppet, only thing with this one is your hand does not go inside of it just a couple fingers and it rests on top of your hand and you can also control the tail

What a winner! Beautifully made. I brought it to the weekly hymn-sing we do at a nearby nursing home. Quickly learned that many of the residents, with or without speech impediments, and staff, are stimulated to share their personal "skunk encounter" story! I have large hands, but index finger in one leg, and pinky in the other, with two middle fingers for upper and lower jaws, couldn't ask for a better fit! Tail is perfectly balanced so it flips up (watch out!!) with a small jerk of the body - very dramatically fun! Worth every penny!!! Everyone wants to know his name, so I've named him "Aro" (and I tell them: single "r", no "w", and drop the "ma") HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for reaching out!

I've purchased this item for a gift but I haven't sent it yet so my opinion of it is that it's super cute and am hoping it instills some imagination with a name and a personality. Made for little hands for sure, thumb and pinky fingers work the arms and what ever is left over works the mouth. It's very realistic and I have high hopes for my 3 year old recipient to have some fun with it.
