SIMPATCH – Dexcom G5, G4 Adhesive Patch (25-Pack) – Waterproof Adhesive, CGM Patch – Multiple Color Options

They do not adhere to the skin. I have to first put a clear patch on, to at least get these to somewhat adhere to it first. But as you can see, where there is no clear patch, the Simpatch does not work.No, I would not recommend this product!After careful consideration, I have to change my review of these patches and Simpatch (the company brand name). I had been contacted by Simpatch because I gave them such a poor review, and they ask me to give them another chance. And I took them up on their offer. They suspected that I had a bad batch.I have only used one patch so far, but the adherence to the skin is very different than the previous ones I had ordered, which were black. And these Simpatch patches are tan.But the adherence is unbelieveable, I had put this current patch on, a week later, it adheres as if it were new, completely around the patch. Not a single area lifting, including the edges. Smooth fit.So I'm changing my review from one star, to five stars.

Received these today, I inserted a Dexcom G6 Sensor on Monday, and applied the patch today. As of tonight the patch has not irritated my skin. There is a patterned adhesive on the back that is wavy, the material of the patch is like a softer cloth band-aid and stretchy. The hole required some additional stretching to fit around the G6 sensor base and transmitter, but has been applied successfully. I've showered tonight and noticed that the cloth material will absorb water within a few seconds of water running over it from a shower head, but takes at least a minute to become fully saturated. I used a towel to dry the patch after the shower and it dried relatively quickly and has not peeled at the edges (yet). It feels like the original Dexcom adhesive pad is still wet/damp, but that will most likely dry overnight. I will update the review after the 10 day sensor cycle is complete. The darker image was taken after application, the lighter image is post shower.

I have had a Dexcom for two years now and this is by far my favorite item to use to keep it in place. I have tried multiple other products and this one always works the best. I get it in the black and I normally wear it for about two weeks before it starts to peel. And if I want to prolong my Dexcom linger the patch is easy to separate from the Dexcom with out removing the sensor. The two weeks is with regular Hot showers, steam room, pool, hot tub , gym and even boating and lake days. To be 100% honest The ONLY thing that isn’t my favorite is the wet cloth feeling it can have after Being submerged into water... but this is a very minor set back to keep my expensive Dexcom equipment in place. I dab it with a paper towel or even have taken a hair dryer on low heat to it if it was bugging me too bad. Again it’s a small con so I highly recommend this product.

I've tried a sample of the new tan color provided by Simpatch and the results are about the same.Please note Simpatch provided a sample as I previously purchased the blue colored one that didn't even last a day and I was not provided a sample for a good review. Below is my honest review of the product.The adhesive is a bit stronger and was able to keep it on for an entire day and a half.I do have allergies to adhesives and the great thing about this patch is I don't get the skin irritation I normally get so that's a big plus for me.I do wish it was cheaper as after a day and a half it comes off half way and it forces me to use a new patch.Those who are putting this on a child make sure that the sticky is on for at least 30min - 1hr before they start moving around or playing as the adhesive needs time to bond with the skin.

I picked this one because the price was better than others. The adhesive is really good- I put it on when my dexcom patch starts to peel after five days and it lasts me another 10 days no problem (it outlasts the sensor use). I have fair skin but had no reaction to the adhesive. Advice to the maker (and buyers): 1. the hole is too small. Not a huge deal- I cut it about 1.5mm on the long side and 1mm on short side. 2. The backing is a struggle. Would be better if one side of the backing over lapped the other or extended past the end. I get one side off then use the backing piece to grab a sticky area (since you don't want your fingers on the adhesive) to get the other side off. This patch does the job and doesn't cause a skin reaction and I'm sure the seller will address the issues eventually so I'd buy it again.

Before I started using SIMPATCH to where over my adhesive Dexcom sensors, I was barely making it five out of the seven reccomended days of wear before the sensor adhesive was falling off and the sensor was failing to provide accurate glucose readings. NOW, I apply the SIMPATCH immediately after inserting the Dexcom sensor and my sensors last at least 10 days, if not longer, with accurate readings up until the last day (you decide with your calibrations or when the direction arrow goes away for a while). 7 days is the reccomended, I'm no doctor, but all I can say is that my 90 day order is lasting me 120 days and it's always nice to have accumulated extra sensors or save $ by delaying your next order. I'm also very active and SIMPATCH keeps your sensor firmly in place with every twist and turn; at work or the gym. Buy these you won't regret it!
