This is our third. The first was stolen by an admirer, the second was wounded in the dishwasher (they are dishwasher safe, but don't pull out the bottom dishwasher basket and lay it next to the heating element. You won't like the results.)This does a great job of getting to the bottom of things. Its shape makes sure you can get into the place where the side of the jar and the bottom of the jar meet. and it also makes sure you can do the same at the top. The blade is straight so spreading your mayo (or jelly, or mustard) is a one pass wonder.Where it really excels is mixing powdered drinks in a half gallon pitcher. The blade width is perfect for this and then a quick rinse and a dry and it can go back into the drawer. So far my wife hasn't caught me doing that.

It is so easy to get mayonnaise out of a jar. I have used one for years and guests at our home were intrigued by the clever product designed for efficiency and practicality. The knife follows the contour of the jar, and the handle stays above even the largest jars so that the holding part of the handle does not dip into the mayonnaise. It's especially great for wholesale club jars. I bought the spreader for my guests who marveled at it. They were very pleased as they could not find it in a store. It's a very clever invention!

Works very well for sides of jars but not designed so much for bottom of jars. With price of Mayo, etc these days you can get two extra servings at least! Bought extra to share with other gadget gotta have friends.

This is a really handy kitchen gadget. We had one for years and it got lost in the move. We never realized how much we use it, had to have another. This one is the exact same and it works perfectly.

This is great for spreading stuff (peanut butter, mayo, etc.) over bread. And also great for getting the last stuff out of the jar.

I ordered this because I misplaced a similar item I had. I use it to mix peanut butter (the kind oil separates for the peanut butter). It is very sturdy and is long enough to mix without getting hands messy.
