Bought this for my elderly mom because her arthritis & lack of smartphone knowledge makes it hard to work a smartphone. Simple because you can just flip it open to answer the phone and have it immediately go to speaker phone mode and doesn't have to fidget with her arthritic fingers on a touch screen. I had 3 different models of iPhone in the past for her and they were all a pain in the butt for her to deal with with Apple IDs & passwords & all the worthless things Apples makes people go through that they don't need it.

I don’t even know where to begin this message since I am so appalled at this situation. I purchased this phone for my mom who hates smartphones and wants a simple flip phone to use for talk/text only. The t-mobile employee said we could find one on Amazon that was unlocked and compatible with our network. Once we did, they would be able to connect it to our account and my mom could use the phone as her own. So we did all that and my mom decided on this phone. Once it arrived, we checked it out and played around with it a bit to see how it works and what kind of features it has. She really liked the phone and I was glad to see that because it’s been such a difficult road trying to find the right phone. Then I noticed how there’s no service/bars on the phone at all, despite already putting our SIM card in as instructed in the video on the product’s page. It was already late so I decided to go into T-Mobile the next day.Upon entering the store, I gave all the info and backstory to the employee and he asked me to see the phone. Here’s the best part of the story. They have a feature in store that can confirm if a phone purchased from another seller (such as Amazon) is compatible with T-Mobile. He ran the number and told me “that phone is 2G.” I thought maybe I heard him wrong. He turned his screen around to show me and yes, indeed, it was showing how the phone we ordered is actually a 2G phone disguised as a 4G LTE one. The employee told me how this phone is probably a knockoff and that a lot of those third party Amazon sellers end up selling phones like that. Since they’re geared more towards the senior citizen market, it’s easier to con them into getting one. This is absolutely DISGUSTING. How can you do something like that? Just because someone is older means they don’t deserve to have a working phone? It’s just all about the money and business? Well we got lucky with this great employee who was able to cut through the B. S. and reveal the true nature of the phone. We are so angry I can’t even begin to describe.Then I noticed how the phone had full bars in the store! The guy told me how since it’s part of a 2G network, it will have SOME service depending on where we are at the moment since there are few 2G towers left. They are all coming down in June, which is also why the service is so spotty. I still can’t believe this. It’s so ridiculous and disrespectful. The phone itself feels like a toy! Even placing the battery in felt weird. There was no click or anything, it literally just feels like a toy kid’s phone and you can’t even hear anything if you try to talk to someone! We made a test call and the internal volume of the phone is SO LOW and you can’t adjust it. This is an awful product and NO ONE SHOULD BE BUYING THIS!!I know that Amazon isn’t the direct manufacturer/seller of this phone but they need to know what kind of product they are selling! As the world’s leading online shopping source, it is important that they are aware of these kinds of issues. Who knows how many other customers of theirs have been taken advantage of by corrupt sellers like this!? Shame on all of you! This is so unfortunate and just overall extremely disappointing. I hope this will help other people not make the same mistake we did! I also hope Amazon can launch an investigation into this ASAP, since I will be messaging their customer service team as well.

This is just the phone I was looking for to use as my home phone and to make sure that I was able to keep the number that I have had since 1994. I had transferred that number from a land line to a 3G cell years ago, and wanted a new simple phone to update since the 3G stopped working. This phone was very easy to set up and works perfectly. No issues at all.

I got this for my Mom (80+ years young) because it had more easy features than any of the widely advertised "senior" phones. I love it for her! She is a bit "technophobic" but with this phone can make and receive simple calls. She can see the keyboard. I love the emergency button which is easily located on the outside of the phone. If she presses that button, I get a phone call, a text and her location. The audio callout of pressed numbers, large writing, incoming call announce, lanyard...all perfect. The only drawback for me is that we had to use TMobile even tho the phone is unlocked. I'm not completely satisfied with the plans available and service coverage but nothing we can't work with.

Got this for my 90+yo dad. This is our second of this type (the first had the hinge break after about 2 years of infrequent use).The buttons are easy to read, sound quality us good and it holds a charge for a decent amount of time.The SOS feature on both phones has never worked properly. If the button is pressed, it will send the text message to the designated numbers, but cannot provide location info.

Update : it does not work most of the time now. Horrible unreliable.Does not work sometimes. My mom is in her 90s and has a life-support thank goodness and a landline but she is used to being able to call me on her cell phone and I am used to being able to call her on the cell phone. Sometimes when I call it is just blank and then it goes to voicemail. It just quits working. If I cut it off and then cut it back on again it seems to work fine but my mother is 90 years old and needs something that is more reliable and now it is beyond the return. So I will have to buy another phone. Very disappointing

This phone serves it's purpose. My dad is elderly and can't see to well. I was able to program the phone for him with speed dial. The numbers are not that big for him to see. Like I mentioned it serves it's purpose. Just be careful with the sos button on other side. Easily goes off in pant pocket. It will show GPS info and sites work when set up.

My mom is 97 and could not use this she cannot put up with technology have mercy on elderly people and make something easy for them all they need is to call
