I don't write alot of reviews but this bone has been impressive. I have a power chewer that can demolish even the strongest toys in a day. The first one of these I bought in the picture has lasted for 8 months and still going strong. No chunks coming off of it or cracks. The second one I bought was a smaller one for a puppy. It was just as strong only reason I replaced it was he got too big for its size so I bought a third lfirst one. These are the best if you have a power chewer like mine. I tried over 20 different bones made of different materials. Most of them even claimed to be durable for a chewer but didn't last a day. He would tear them to pieces, I was afraid he'd choke on them. Anybody that has a chewer should get one of these.

I have a 70 pound power chewer. He loved this bone - of all his toys, it was the one he would pull out first every morning. However, it is not one solid piece, it is a bone shape with a separate layer of the "meat". After about 5 hours of chewing, the meat separated and my dumb dog began pulling small pieces off and swallowing them. Luckily I saw it and we threw it away. So if you have a stump grinder on 4 legs, maybe go for the kong power chewer toys. If your dog is a medium chewer, this is a great toy.

Our lab/basset mix (yes, he’s goofy looking with a small lab head and long basset body and pronated feet) loves these things. We adopted Hank from a shelter in early 2017 and he has always had a strong urge to chew a few times a day. He needs something that will hold up because we quickly discovered that despite having a pretty small jaw he was going through less tough chew toys very quickly. Since then, we have been purchasing these Nylabone femur power chews and one will last him months before I have to discard it and buy another. Great product that Hank is a huge fan of!

My big dog chews on these all day without supervision. One will last about a month, when the ends get chewed up, I throw it in the garbage

CHOKING HAZARD!!! We have dogs that are absolutely power chewers. We have been buying them Nylabone Dura Chew for power chewers for many years. Normally, they are a great product. This one however, is so dangerous! The first day one of the dogs chewed on this particular chew toy, we heard a ‘snap’ sound and looked over to see the bone on the floor and the broken chunk in the dogs mouth. It was within the first hour of him chewing this that the piece just snapped off. I will never buy bones like this again.
