He is extremely knowledgeable and passes on everything he has learned about making your business a success in this book. Well set out, as you can dip into the chapters you most need or you can read right through for a great overview and then go back to the bits you most need. It comes with a free companion online course and I highly recommend it.

What a fantastic book , I have been in the business for over 20 years and have been searching for such a book for a long time. Its a well written but to the point book on how to reduce your reliance on OTA’s, booking .com, air bnb , agents ect and how to go it alone and drive direct booking to your business. Loads if topics explored such as email marketing , social media , customer avatars as well as many other things. Also loads of tops and tricks on how to maximise the potential of your holiday lets . If you are in the hospitality industry, accommodation then this is a definite must . You really wont regret it. .

My book arrived today and only stopped reading to post this review as so impressed already. Having built my business on direct bookings I know how rewarding it is. But that was back in the day when Airbnb and booking. Com were a mere twinkle in their creators eyes, as the internet was just a baby! As these titans rose I felt you needed to go with the flow, to take advantage of their huge marketing budgets. It’s so easy to become reliant and be complacent, you forgot that to book direct is not only more profitable but it’s more rewarding for the guest to host relationship. I won’t be ditching my OTA “partner” but I will now be using the Book direct Playbook to get my mojo back and vastly increase my percentage of direct bookings. Mark Simpson is from the hospitality industry, for the hospitality industry: he gets it! Highly recommend this book and the online courses too.

This is a must-read for anyone with holiday rentals wanting to free themselves from the shackles (and commission) of OTAs such as Airbnb. This book will arm you with all the tips and tools you need to boost direct bookings and take control of your business again (and your profits). It's a win-win for business owners AND guests when you remove the middle man, commission and added fees from the equation. I have already benefited from Mark's #bookdirect training courses on Facebook so I'm delighted to now have this book to add to my armoury. I have been following Mark Simpson for a few years now on social media and done the bookings challenges. I can honestly say, my business & knowledge would be non existent without him. This book is amazing, more like a bible, for experts and beginners alike. packed with must have tips to get your direct bookings. There is still content in here I didn’t know, so always learning and always having the book to refer to is great. Worth every penny, you won’t be disappointed!

I read this in one go (we had a power cut!!), and I'm looking forward to dipping back into it for certain topics. A great book to help your hospitality business move away from the reliance of OTA's (Online Travel Agents) and take back control of your business.At the end of chapters, a 'Get it Done' box helps you action what you've just read...just do it!!Now looking forward to working on specific chapters, and (now the powers back!) accessing the online videos for additional training.

So excited to get my kindle copy. This is not a boring old text book destined to be left on a dusty shelf hoping the knowledge somehow transfers into your brain. This is a modern, up-to-date reference book, dip in and out where you need to, when you need to..Written by someone who has been there and has lots of knowledge, not just an author who has researched a topic but one who has lived and is living it.
