Phenomenal Pillow!
I have cervical dystonia (all my neck/shoulder muscles are permanently tied in knots) and have used the regular Mediflow Waterbase pillows for years. They have helped me tremendously in my battle of pain. When I found out about the down pillow I ordered one immediately. Talk about phenomenal comfort - WOW! I would recommend this pillow to anyone who has neck pain issues - hands down. The only problem I've had with this pillow is that many standard size pillowcases are too small to fit properly. Just use high end pillowcases that are oversized.

Unfortunately it's flat without enough water and not very comfortable with too much water... I am trying not to give up on it yet but it hasn't helped my neck issues.

Weird...in a good way
This pillow takes some getting used to and some work getting the water level right. But once you do, it creates a much more restful sleep. It's super heavy, so if you like to move your pillow around a lot, you might find it difficult to get used to. For me, it has been worth it for the better sleep and reduced soreness I have been experiencing. Good purchase.

You can only look at these, not try them
The pillow is ok but it felt hard and heavy compared to the cloud-like softness of an all- down pillow. The reason for 1 star is we decided to return them as the description states their 30 day return policy with no questions asked if you're not happy. I requested a return and was sent the return address label but in the instructions it is stated that only unused pillows can be returned for a refund. Nowhere in the description is this mentioned. How are you supposed to know if you like it without trying it? We are very unhappy that we cannot return these pillows and feel like we were led to believe they cared if you didn't like them.

Most Comfortable Pillow Wver
I have used Mediflow down water fill pillows for probably ten years. I take them when we travel because nothing else compares. I left them at them hotel in Pennsylvania. How could I? I ended up buying four new Mediflow pillows for our home and motor home. One thing: if your pillow cases are too small for the pillows they don’t “spread” inside the case like they should, and they will feel hard. At the time I first started using these pillows Johns-Hopkins recommended them. They really are a great pillow.

Not thrilled
Got it, opened it, it felt WAY too heavy. Never even filled it with water to try it. Just couldn't imagine using such a heavy pillow. Gave it away.

No more headaches!
The only pillow that allows me to wake up without a headache. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and a tendency toward migraines. My old Mediflow pillow wore out after years of use, and I tired to make do with a cheaper regular pillow. It got to where I had a headache every single morning and I finally gave in and bought this pillow. From the first night, the headaches are gone. I really like the down better than my old fiberfill Mediflow as well.

not perfect but, better than most pillows
bought this while in pain and sleep deprived so forgot to check here before i purchased it for 109 elsewhere!while this pillow has helped my neck pain/shoulder some and has eleminated about 75% of the popping and cracking sound my back/shoulder was making all day, it is not as supportive as i would of expected from a pillow claiming to be tested and proven. guessing only the fiberfill version was actual tested for this down version gets too flat after your head is on it for a bit and you wake up needing to fluff it up again. it has a tendency to crease up (kinda like it was folded in half) in center and lower end where your neck is during the night so it has not eleminated my neck pains like another pillow no longer made did for almost 2yrs.. Also, with this being a down pillow, adding anything less than 4qts of water is a joke, you get NO neck or little shoulder support if you are a side sleeper, i am small framed 5'4" person and had to add 5qts for it to offer some support while still feeling somewhat soft like a normal pillow. Although getting air out to avoid the water noise was simple enough with a helper, you are still going to have to deal with the crinkling plastic kinda sound this pillow makes, whatever 100% cotton they are using is clearly not high quality and the bladder material is trully not what i was expecting. given i have a waterbed, i expected bladder to be made of vinyl, not a super thin crinkling plastic bag. had they used vinyl, it would of avoided the crinkling sound and been more supportive since vinyl water bed trully do conform to your body!As for leaking, i have none (so far)Smell, none.standard/queen pillow cases fit easily on and don't fit extra tight (even with a dust/etc protecting case on pillow too)filling plug is about 4-5" from side of pillow so you can still put your arm/hand underneath side of pillow without feeling plug.although i have 5 litters of water in pillow, i did not find it heavy on my arm when under pillow, nor did i find picking pillow up to be a chore (use two hands)Am i in love with this pillow? nope but, it is comfortable in the end. honestly though, i am thinking of trying out the fiberfill version now or the dual version that has a foam piece at bottom of pillow to see if it offers better neck support while still offering comfort.UPDATE: bought the quilted mediflow pillow case, put quilted part on bottom so i won't feel plug when arm/hand is under too far, and than bought another quilted case and put quilted side on top....it has made a world of a difference with supporting my neck more and has reduced pillow creasing towards bottom center and has not hindered the down feel very much, still a soft comfy pillow especially after breaking pillow in after 2 weeks. i make it a point to fluff pillow every day after i wake up and it is not losing its loft..quite content with pillow now, have finally quit buying others to find a perfect one.Update: 7/26/2018 has lasted awhile but, although it was still confortable and keeping its fluff, it developed black mold spots on bottom edge area sometime in the last couple months, even though i could not find any leaks, it also showed large light orange/pink spots like the mold color you see in humidifiers on bottom areas and the whole bottom part of pillow looks yellowish, top part however is still perfectly white and clean looking. i am now using the cheaper backup regular fiber filled water pillow now and it is just not the same as this down filled one, not even a week and my neck and shoulder are already starting to crackle and pop and get painful a little in AM again so even though this down filled ended up molding on me, i miss it and am buying another asap.update 8/19/2018: bought another, doesn't quite seem to be made the same as one i bought over 2yrs ago elsewhere. this one says down plus on it (other did not) and there noticeably less down filling in it and even though i filled it up with 6 liters (1 liter more than i had in old pillow) it was not enough loft/support and i woke up with worse neck pain and cracking shoulders than i did with the fiber fill backup! i had to put the rest of the distilled water i had left today and now i have a pillow with 2 gallons of water in it that weights over 16lbs and am not even sure thats going to provide the same height & comfort of previous down pillow nor sure my arm & hand are going to be able to handle that much weight on them since they went numb twice last night with just the 6 liters in it...grrr, really hate when you buy something and when you reorder it is not the same!!
