Great value
They're sharp and pretty lightweight, easy to use. Glad for the coverings - keeps them protected in the drawer.

Really surprised how good these are.
I got these for a 5 month camp host job and was really surprised how sharp and well made these were.

Sharp but not rust-resistant
I was really impressed by how sharp these knives are, and they are also quite lightweight and easy to handle. The only downside is that they aren't rust-resistant. After just one day of use, I started to see a few tiny rust spots appearing, which is a drawback. After washing them, don’t let them air dry. That’s where I made a mistake. Instead, wash and dry them right away and put them back in the plastic safety covers. I give them 4 stars for sharpness and short-term durability. Honestly, I can't see these lasting for the long-term, which explains the low price.

Well made useful knife set. Excellent for the price
I needed some kitchen knives for an upcoming camping trip, and was not about to take my good Japanese knives. These filled the bill. The 8" cut tomatoes fine, The 4 1/2" made a decent steak knife, as did the 4" for Grandson steak knife. The blades are thin. And constant thickness. No distall taper. Perhaps 1.5 - 2.0mm for the 8"..1.0mm for the others. They are stiffer than I expected, though I wouldn't be surprised if they bent if used as a butcher knife. But mine have not, yet. They have a full tang, visible all around the simple no-bolster handle. A plus, as far too many in this price range have short tangs and fake rivits embedded in cheap plastic handle which can be dangerous when they break off.The final cutting edge appears a 50/50 flat - not hollow - grind. So you should be able to easily resharpen. The 3CR13MOV is a budget alloy, but there are worse. Claimed to be 56HRC +/- 2. Probably 54, typical for this alloy. Not great, but not bad for a $3 knife. And rarely is alloy and HRC even mentioned in cheap knife info. A plus for this one. Treat it as a semi-stainless, don't let it sit around wet or ever put it in a dishwasher. And given the price, I will have to give it 5 stars. For the price! A nice 'disposable' set for camping, your rental camp kitchen, or to 'take with' and leave if you are renting.

Sharp is an understatement
I haven't owned really good knives for a long time, so when I began using the chefs knife for slicing some raw chicken to cook - oh Mama! it was like slicing thru melted butter. This chef's knife is so sharp, and easy handling, if you need knives, get these!

Cheap and sharp
They're plenty sharp but poor quality metal starting to rust after using 1 week.
