Had to widen the lock hole but lock works great

I have the most basic Salisbury 4 door mailbox. the kind you see everywhere. I spent probably 30 minutes trying to install this kit, using every type of cam in the package, multiple times and multiple ways. I thought there was no way this didnt have the correct cam out of 9. Well, none of the cams fit meaning there is now a ton of play in the door, would be so easy to break open. Did I get a bad kit? Or do these not work with the most basic design of multifamily mailbox?

I moved to a new house and I needed a replacement for my community mail box lock and I got those, they are cheap, affordable and does the job, feels like low quality made though, but anyway I am staying here temporarily so it doesn't matter much.

...at least for my application it appears to be a different style of lock than the ones my neighbors are using. As such, I've been wondering for the last year if my mail deliverer will leave me a note one day telling me I have to swap it out for an approved lock.But for now, no complaints from USPS and it works as intended on my mailbox, so as long as you understand what you're getting I'll leave a "buy it" recommendation.

My locking mailbox was burglarized during the Covid pandemic. Fortunately Amazon got me this replacement in a couple of days. The lock was easy to replace and it comes with a large number of differently sized and shaped lock components (cams) so it should work with a large range of mailboxes. It is secured with a spring clip - I would have actually preferred a washer and nut (like my old lock had) since it didn't fit perfectly with my box leaving a tiny bit of play (hence 4 instead of 5 stars). Product seems to be of good quality and comes with 2 keys.

Finally found the one that fits my mail box thanks for all the latches comes with it.

This solved a problem in a pinch! I looked up YouTube videos of how to get into my mailbox as I'd lost the key and USPS offered to help or have a Locksmith help for a whopping $150... No thanks!I needed to get a dress that i ironically ordered off of Amazon for a work event that was days away and I work Mon-Friday so even if I wanted to overpay, I had no time to meet them at the box to get the swap completed.I bought this and replaced my existing lock in about 20 minutes total. I was worried about the latch not fitting after trying on two sizes, but they have so many that it fits every box style. Be sure to look at the little circle that you put your key in like I did to make sure you have the right lock! Shipped fast, excellent quality and super affordable solution that actually meets the USPS' standards.

I was really surprised that out of so many add-ons none of them fit into my mailbox so I actually had to bend one of them in order to get it to work properly. Otherwise its a good overall product just keep in mind you might need to use the pliers to bend it one of the locking parts to make it fit.

This product is great, was a perfect fit to replace the lock in our condo mailbox bank. Feels well made (not cheap) and price was great!

This was the Easiest handywork I ever had to do! It took literally 1 minute to do! Super easy to install, with all the Cams that come with the kit you're sure to find the one for you. Those who complain that it's for a left or right hand side mailbox are just not smart enough to put the CAM in the other direction! a truly Universal product! feels sturdy and of good quality!
