Genipaws - Cat & Dog Talking Button Starter Pack: 4 Small Recordable Sound Buttons Incl. Holding Mats (with Adhesive Circles to fix on The Floor), Stickers, Training Guide and Pre-Installed Batteries

So my cat took 4 days and started using the "Outside" button. But within 1 week of use, the button along with another button "treat" got stuck in the pressed in position and failed to work afterwards. Even though the buttons are small and great for cats, there is a big issue with the durability of these buttons. There is no instruction on how to replace individual buttons. So I'm forced to replace the whole set and my cat now tries to find the buttons when he wants to go outside....which is great setback.

My cat is talking nonstop. He’s already learned two words and then I added this kit. One button had sound distortion. I wish you could by just the mats in different colors without the paw prints . They are very durable and thick. My cat can’t get the buttons out like he can out of the other ones.

I got these because I am always looking for new things to teach my dog. He's pretty high energy and needs lots of stuff to do. And these buttons work well for a starter set. They are a decent size even for my 72 lb. guy. He can touch them easily with his paw. We have wood or laminate flooring all through the house, so even with the provided mats, they do tend to slide around. I suspect they would do better on carpeting. The recording is a bit awkward since you have to press and hold the button after putting it in Record mode, but it isn't impossible. The microphone and speaker are not the best, but they are small so there's only so much you can do at this price point. Overall, they are decent for the price and a good way to get started if you are not sure if your dog (or cat) will get the idea of using the buttons.

I purchased two of these. They are a little bit more expensive than the others on the market but they are great for tiny paws. One of my buttons was defective so I contacted the manufacture, and they sent me a whole extra box. I’m really grateful for the excellent customer service, considering that they are at a higher price point. I think it was definitely worth it. My little girl has taken to them fairly well and it’s something fun that we can do together.

I bought these to play around with training. I have a 90lb Doberman. Some of the buttons after getting paw smacked one too many times got jammed and stopped working. My cat in the other hand is a champ with these. Wouldn’t recommend for larger dogs

The buttons are easy to program and playback is nice and loud, but the mats are lightweight foam. My dog does two things: picks up the entire mat in her mouth and tosses it around like a toy and since the buttons slip right out she brings me the button on her mouth and tries to chew on it like a toy or bring it to me. She's 14, not a puppy. So she's not normally destructive, but this set up makes it too easy for her. I have to buy a heavier mat as an alternative where the buttons fit snuggly. So buying the kit wasn't a good purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised when my Genipaws box arrived. For the price, this has amazing sound quality. So easy to use, it's almost a no-brainer. Ready to use right out of the box. Excellent product, fast shipping.

I bought 2 sets. 1 complete set works great. One button in second set doesn’t work. Tried changing the batteries. Not sure how to reach someone to get a single button replacement.

Was so excited to try this for my cats. I received this in the usual brown Amazon box and when I opened the box, I saw that the actual GeniPaws box was not what I expected it to be. First of all it had Canada Post postage sleeve which I thought was strange as it wasn't delivered by Canada Post but Amazon themselves. Then I noticed the side of the box tape was already cut. Once I opened it, I noticed that the three of the buttons already had the stickers stuck on. At first I thought it was already stuck on by the company but soon realised this was not the case when I saw empty sticker pads at the bottom of the box. I then went to try the buttons and nothing was recording or playing back. I read the instructions carefully and followed steps but nothing was being recorded. When I looked at the bottom of where the batteries were places, I saw that the battery tag which is usually in place for new products were all taken out. I knew straightaway I was sent someone else's return. I was so disappointed from the company that this happened. I have sent this back for a refund but I don't think I trust the company enough to try the purchase again. I will just order it from FluentPets or find another company. Amazon has said that they cannot replace the item as this isn't an option and also because it is sold by a private seller. If you do want to buy this, hopefully you don't get a used/defected/returned product like me!

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased two sets of the Genipaws talking kits. It’s really easy to use and my 6-months old Basenji to get started. Unfortunately, with a week or so, two buttons became permanently stuck and another button’s on a constant loop (in video). I was so excited about this product and really wanted to love it.The most frustrating part is it keeps interrupting our progress with these tech issues.I think I’ll just get the FluentPet set and hopefully not have the same durability issues.

Unfortunately I didn’t have them for very long. Two of the four buttons worked fine but the other two had a very low speaker volume that wasn’t fixed by changing out the batteries. I did try to record on the ones that worked and that was very easy to do. The beeping sound before you record is very loud though and actually scared my cats away. But you only have to hear that that beeping sound once and then not again unless you want to re-record. I wish they all had worked but since half of them didn’t I had to return them.

I was really excited to get these after seeing these buttons being used all over social media. They were pretty easy to set up, however the sounds quality is so poor they’re virtually impossible for even a human to hear what they’re saying let alone a dog trying to learn words. Was a complete waste of my money.

I have had a set of FluentPet Buttons for a year now, and only 3 of them still work. (One broken from water damage, while the other buttons were probably just broken due the constant weight from a growing Akita pup. She’s currently 80 lbs at the moment.) And since I’m an American traveling through Canada, I wanted to buy the same brand again. But could only find GeniPaws since the buttons are the same size as the fluentpet ones. Just a little different in colours. I do think the mats from GeniPaw are interesting since they can fit in corners. I only have had the buttons for a couple weeks now, but they are doing what they need to do. Yet I do feel like the quality of sound isn’t the best, but it is a tiny button on a mat so things get muffled with the mat.If you just want some extra way to communicate with your dog. Buttons are very useful. Since I know if my dog presses a button, it means they need something.
