Do it! It just works!!!
Tired of HP thunderbolt docks being bad and glitchy, this is the answer. Installed this on a users machine that was having nonstop issues with a more expensive dock and this has worked flawlessly for a couple weeks now! This will be my new go-to!

Dual 4k dock works and supports 60Hz!
This is one of the first Thunderbolt 3 docking stations to come out with support for the Macbook Pro (2016) 15" with touch bar. It took some trial and error to get it driving two 4k monitors, mostly because the Displayport would not work reliably at 4k60Hz with my Samsung U28E590 monitor. The other ports on the U28E590 are HDMI, so I got a Startech Displayport to Hdmi adpater (DP2HD4K60S), and now the system is solid. The other 4k screen is running at its maximum refresh of 30Hz with a Startech TB3 to Hdmi cable. The fine print does mention a list of monitors that will not work with Displayport at 4k60Hz with the dock, though the U28E590 is not on the list. the picture would come on for a bit, and then blank out fairly regularly, enough to not be usable. I was able to get it working stable at a lower resolution at 60Hz. I tried several cables, including Displayport certified ones from Startech.I didn't give it 5 stars because I have had some initial troubles getting it to work, and I am not quite sure it isn't the problem of the adapter. Other minor glitches: I have had to 'reboot' the dock to get it to work again. This required completely disconnecting it from the laptop tether, as well as to unplug the power source for a minute -- its not enough to just unplug it as it seems to get some power from the tether too. When my laptop ran out of power and shutdown, the dock went completely black for a while, and would display nothing on any port after my laptop was running again, until I did this 'reboot' procedure (which I had to discover on my own).It can be difficult to tell if the dock is even on, as there is no power led or switch - it has no moving parts and doesn't get warm.. I plugged in a usb device that had a power led to verify it had power.I wish it had a couple more usb connectors, two is really not enough.

Loose Connections and Flashing Monitors
We are using this with a 13.3" MacBook Pro (late 2016) and two monitors (Acer Everyday Series G276HL Gbd 27" LED Backlit). The screens flash off and on. We've swapped a monitor out and replaced the cables (DVI to USBC and DVI to DisplayPort) with various brands. The connections are very loose and if you bump the dock, everything flashes. With an automated sit/stand desk, things are moving a lot. There weren't many Thunderbolt 3 docking options when we bought this for our Mac in June. It's a mess and now it's too late to return it.

The very anthesis of the Apple design ethic.
Pros- it work well. Cons- it's an ugly lump of plastic in the way of most everything on the desk. It has wires sprouting from both sides and I still need another cord for power. This is the very anthesis of the Apple design ethic.

Just works!
Worked much better than Dell first party dock. No headaches at all.

I'd hold out for an actual charging dock system
I purchased this to be used as a working space dock for my MacBook Pro 2016. I'm using two 2k monitors; one through the USB-C port and the other through the display port on the backside of the dock. The idea was to have a set up at work that I could connect my MBP to while leaving my charging cord at home for person work. The dock was advertised as "slow charging" with its supplied powered block. That is not the case. While the computer does show it's charging, the supplied power does not keep my computer charged and I need to plug in the apple charger after 5 hours of use.The good thing is this dock does provide the easy connection of USB-C with my monitors picking up just as I left them without needing to fiddle with dongles or detection issues.

Nice dock, but display port doesn't play nice with 2016 Macbook Pro
I bought this dock with some very ambitious expectations. I have a 2016 Macbook Pro (thunderbolt 3), and 2015 Macbook Pro (thunderbolt 2). I was hoping I could use this dock with dual displays (Dell Ultra HD 4K Monitor P2415Q), and simply be able to switch a single cable out to move from computer to computer. In the case of the 2015 Macbook Pro, I would be using the Apple thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter, and for the 2016 Macbook Pro I could simply use the supplied thunderbolt 3 cable.Initially for the dual displays I tried having one display connected to the display port, and the other to a thunderbolt 3 port (using a display port to thunderbolt 3 adapter, not included). For the 2016 Macbook Pro, the display port on this dock isn't quite compatible. Whichever display is connected to the display port will flicker frequently, and even periodically go black. This is the main reason I'm giving this product 4 stars. I do realize this is likely Apple's fault for not properly supporting the display port 1.2 protocol (you cannot, for example, do display port 1.2 chaining from what I've noticed with Apple products). That said, if you have a 2016 Macbook Pro (or newer), you're likely going to have to shell out another ~$80 for a dual display port to thunderbolt 3 adapter, which is a steep price to pay when you've already bought this dock.If you're using a thunderbolt 2 Macbook Pro, do not expect dual displays to work with this dock. Maybe that was to be expected? You can run one display through the dock, and attach the other directly to the computer. If you're using a dual display port to thunderbolt 3 adapter, only one of the displays will go through. In my case, if I keep this dock, I'll likely have to run an HDMI cable from the second display, and just switch that display's input source when necessary. I can say that everything else seems to pass through the thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter just fine to the computer (e.g. all the USB devices and the network source).

Five Stars
This is exactly what I needed for my Asus Zenbook Pro with TB3 technology.
