I expected more issues trying to put in the new mailbox but this piece was very simple to install and seems very sturdy for my oversized mailbox.

Installing a post mailbox usually involves fiddling around with a proper-sized piece of platform wood. With these brackets, the job becomes much easier. These brackets perfectly fit an extra-large mailbox. The pre-drilled holes provide plenty of positioning choices and the fact that they are made of rust-proof aluminum means I shouldn't have to worry about corrosion.The only weak point of this bracket system is the screws - which will eventually shear off after several years due to the constant working of the hole edges on the screw shaft against the sheet metal of the bracket. This is unfortunately true for just about any kind of screw you might use. It is the reason that screws should never be used on sheet steel deck and bracing supports. Galvanized nails won't sheer off in this way so easily, but are far more inconvenient for installing a mailbox. So, I'll just have to replace the mounting screws every few years.Otherwise, great time-saving brackets.

Perfect fit for large rural mail box

I do quite a bit of ordering online. The mailman would often have to leave packages at our gate, so i purchased through Amazon the largest mailbox allowed by the Post Office. We had a mailbox support but wanted a wider support for the new mailbox. This product works perfectly to support/brace the new mailbox. It was easy for us to install on top of the old mailbox support which worked great for us. I would recommend this product as a bracket for a large mailbox.

I couldn't find a board around to use to install our new XL Gibraltar mailbox, so I decided to try these brackets. Super easy to install, sturdy, and a perfect fit. Self tapping screws went through very easy. I'm a 70 year old gramma and had no trouble with it.

These fit fine with a T3 jumbo-size rural mailbox (11.56" wide x 23.69" long). At first glance, I thought they wouldn't fit, as they appeared to be about an inch too short. But, when I fit them up under the mailbox, they fit fine. I did contact the manufacturer via email and got a prompt response. These brackets come with 8 screws. Four are wood screws used to attach the bracket to the post. Four are "self-tapping" sheet metal screws. Once the mailbox is on the brackets, a drill with a #2 Phillips head bit can be used to insert the screws. They will create a hole in the mailbox, and then thread themselves in to the bracket. (As an alternative, you can pre-drill a hole in the mailbox, and then use the included screws.) Very pleased with the product. It is what it is claimed to be.
