Watex WX035 24 by 24" Raised Garden Bed Kit,Micro Irrigation kit included, 1-Bed

When I saw the design on these I knew I found the perfect garden boxes for when you live on a hill. The design allowed me to stagger them down a low slope. I bought 4 sets of 4 to double stack them with the exception of the first one. When stacking 2 sets it locked the 2 pieces together, due to the stagger. I just used one bottom board on every other planter for support. Filling them took more dirt than mentioned. I lined the bottom with weed block, two layers of cardboard, 1/3 bag much, 1/2 bag cow manure, and then 2 cu ft of garden soil. Some of the joint edges cracked off in delivery but I just used them on top. When filling the boxes I could put the bag on the ground and flip over the edge with no damage or distortion. This was much easier than my last raised beds that I laid concrete block and cemented two high. The down part is it is only 6" high. The reason I double stacked. OK for lettuce etc but not for bigger plants. At 6" you will need to fill them to the top, water it down and keep filling to the top or you won't have the depth. Very happy with the end result. Plants are in, waiting to eat.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these kits! My kids helped me slide the pieces together and they were so easy! I bought two and got double the space with the extra panels when we put them together! I will be ordering more as my budget allows! One of the irrigation kits didn't work but the other one covers the whole bed. I emailed the seller about this and will update my review with their response. I would definitely recommend this kit (or two or more if you can!). I filled the two kits (4'x4' total) together with two 40 lb bags of composted manure and two 1.5 cubic foot bags of potting mix. It is very sturdy and the one irrigation kit waters the whole bed. Also if you wanted you could easily stack them two high and they'd still be pretty sturdy but we chose not to because I didn't pay attention to size when I ordered and I wanted it to be wiser as opposed to taller.

Pros: easy to assemble, irrigation system works wellCons: the sections aren't actually 2ft long so if you selected it for a space, or if you bought and cut something to fit in it, you'll be in for a surprise.

So far so good.Pros: Ordered this a couple weeks ago and it was super easy to set up. All the pieces slid together perfectly. It's sturdy, nice sized as well. Perfect for a small garden area. We will probably order others as well.Cons: Part of the watering system doesn't work. The tiny plastic tip of the main part of the system broke during shipping so it is currently preventing us from using it. I have yet to contact the company to see if they can send a replacement. It's been raining so much here in NYS that really... we haven't been in need of it yet.

Purchased 4 sets of these for a very unusual purpose - to put together a modular whelping box for momma dogs. They worked out fantastically. These were super easy to assemble (no tools needed), sturdy, easily stacked, and easily formed into a variety of configurations. They are perfect for the intended purpose, in that the whelping box can be built quickly and dismantled quickly, as well as easily disinfected. I'm sure they would work fantastically for a garden as well.

For the price I do not feel it is worth the money. I really did not look at the size prior to purchasing it so that is on me. It does go together quite quickly but I feel my money would have been better spent elsewhere. It did arrive chipped in several places. I'm not one to really send back items so I put it together and I am using it. Next time I will look at the size of the item I am buying. I do not recommend this to anyone for the price.

I like the flexibility to make it fit my garden and make the height taller as needed. It looks nice, but I noticed a couple of the tongue parts (that slide into the groove of another piece) did not slide in easily and would chip off at the corner. It didn’t compromise the stability of the bed, but I was a little disappointed it could chip so easily.

I bought this to create a little garden. I'm not a gardener, but I thought this looked tidy and would give it a try. I like the self watering feature, so when I'm not well enough to tend to the garden, it can water itself - wrong. My husband checked out the self watering system and he said it was shoddily made and that he'll set up an automatic watering system for me. Aside from that, this was easy to assemble and was put together in just minutes. I think this is a good quality plastic and should last.
