Too many models of Lutron dimmers that look the same - this is likely the one you want
We just had our first child and during the course of setting up the baby's room we realized we needed a way to reduce the light level in the room at night when changing diapers, etc... I bought this unit to match another I had in the house aesthetically. I like it because you operate it normally with the rocker switch, but then if you want to turn down the lighting level you can using the discreet slider. This seems to not put as much wear and tear on the dimmer slider as it infrequently is moved. It took quite a bit of research to figure out what all the different models of Lutron dimmers did. They have a lot of them that look identical, but with different characteristics operating wise. Even looking at Lutron's site, not all the model numbers matched up with what Amazon sold. I eventually figured out that this would be the best dimmer for me as compared to my older one downstairs, this is a newer model that supports CFL/LED screw in type bulbs. It has one wattage rating for CFL/LED and a separate for incandescent (i.e. 150 watts for CFL/LED and 600 watts for normal incandescent/halogen). While I was using this on a halogen fixture today, I wanted the ability to swap to LED later so I went with this one over the older series. Note that this one does *not* have the convenient little night light that let's you find the switch in the dark like the older series (that only does incandescent) does. I suspect this is because in order for that to work, it must "leak" some current through the "load" light bulb in order to light the nightlight, and CFL/LED ballasts don't think that is very funny. Amazon also sells this same exact switch, but with an "H" on the end of the product SKU. From what I can tell, that just means you get the "retail" clamshell packaging and a faceplate cover with it instead of the small contractor style cardboard box. I hate packaging waste and I already had faceplate covers, so I went with this one. One other feature of note is that this unit has a little thumbwheel on the bottom left of the switch (behind the wall plate cover) that let's you set the minimum dimming level. I suspect this is to keep CFL's / LED's from freaking out and flickering when they don't get enough power to fire up the lamp and keep it lit. I am not sure if the older series had this or not. Since I am just using it with a halogen light right now I left it set to the default setting which works great and starts off at an extremely low light level. My wife loves me for buying and installing this thing, and I am happy with the quality. Highly recommended! -Eric

Don't forget to order a wallplate for this switch/dimmer
The Lutron Diva dimmable CFL/LED dimmer was easy to install. I purchased 2 of these (and forgot to order the wallplates)[FACE PALM], one to control my 5 Philips 423418 6-Watt (50-Watt) MR16 LED Indoor Flood GU10 Base,120-Volt Light Bulb, Dimmable in a track light setup and the other to control my 5 SYL CF14EL/TWIST/827/DIM/RP 14W CFL 29969 SYLVANIA LAMPS in a dining room chandelier. When controlling the above Philips LED bulbs with this dimmer, it will dim down to almost nothing (no useable light output) but it does have some flicker when it's dimmed down to ~20% useable light output with these lamps. On the up side, there's no buzz or hum at all, it's completely silent. The above Sylvania dimmable CFL lamps works well with this dimmer, I was able to get these CFL lamps dimmed down to ~30% from full brightness before the lamps would begin to "pop" on & off. The really nice thing about this dimmer is that you can set the dimming threshold via a small adjustment switch behind the wallplate. You do this by turning the switch on and setting the dimming slider to its lowest setting, then you can move the adjustment switch to a point to where the lights are dimmed as far as they'll go without popping on & off and reliably turn on with the dimming slider set to its lowest setting. Just like the dimmer controlling the LEDs, this one has zero buzz or hum controlling these dimmable CFL lamps. What I like about this dimmer/switch: It works with incandescent/halogen, CFL, and LED lamps. The toggle switch works smoothly and without any vagueness. The slider for the dimmer works smoothly/fluidly. The adjustable dimmer cutoff threshold adjustment works as advertized.

Works great with LED bulbs, but it's large
I've installed a few of these dimmers, and they have worked great for their intended purpose: dimming LED bulbs. We have them mated to bulbs from various manufacturers, and as long as the bulbs are dimmable, these dimmers work very well. We have no flickering from any of the bulbs we're using, regardless of dimming level. Depending upon the bulbs, they may not dim all the way down to entirely "off," but they do dim as far down as we need them to without actually simply switching the lights off. As with most dimmers, wifi switches, motion detectors, timers, etc that are designed to replace a simple wall switch, these things are fairly large and may not be usable in a shallower box. The fact that they connect via short lengths of wire requiring the use of wire nuts rather than connecting via small ports using a locking screw further increases the amount of box space required to install them. However, keeping wires as short as practical and the judicious placement of wire connections will generally allow the dimmer to fit in most reasonably sized electrical boxes. As an extreme example, I have two of these dimmers plus two 2-gang switches (a total of six switched circuits) installed in a 4-gang box with eleven 12 AWG wires feeding it (attached photos). It was a challenge I'd prefer not to repeat too frequently, but I was able to pack all of this neatly into the box. A few reviews have mentioned a concern over the "feel" of the switching action, even to the extent of downgrading the rating because they don't feel like a quality switch. I don't share this opinion. Based upon having installed hundreds of various types of switches over the years (single pole, 3-way, 4-way, dimmers, etc from various manufacturers), it's true that they feel a little different from some others... just about every type of switch has its own unique feel. But unlike some other switches on the market, they have a very positive two-state motion and "click" leaving no doubt about which position they're in, which is always a good thing. Perhaps the concern is that they do actually have a click sound and positive engagement, as opposed to switches with a more dampened sound and feel. Regardless, these dimmers perform very well and I would not let a concern over feel dissuade me. With Amazon selling a 3-pack for just over $50, you absolutely cannot beat the quality of this dimmer for the price. The only consideration I'd have for not purchasing this dimmer is if you'd really rather have a wifi capable dimmer that can be dimmed remotely via an app or connected to Alexa. If you don't need or want a wifi capability, though, you can't go wrong with this dimmer.

Electrical Performance Perfect, No Wall Plate Supplied
Works perfectly with Daybetter LED bulbs. This was installed to control six, 8veatt, 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs and provided the maximum range from full brightness to too dim to see. There was no flickering at any setting. I didn't find wiring instructions in the package and had to ask AI. This does not come with a wall plate, thus requiring a separate purchase. I would have awarded five stars were it not for these two issues. The electrical performance was perfect for my application.

Reliable product.
They came in a timely manner, this is a reliable device,I have been using this brand and model for many years. I had ghosting problems on some LED lights for a customer that was trying to use an electronic dimmer, and I put these in instead because they will not do that, ghosting is whenever you turn the dimmer down all the way or off and you still get a small amount of light coming out of the LED.

Excellent dimmer switch
Very nice dimmer switch. The online installation instructions make it an easy product to install. I have several dimmer switches from a different manufacturer but I prefer the Lutron. The switch snap action is crisp and solid, the other brand doesnt have the same feel or quality snap action. The dimmer function works very well and allows lighting level changes. Will buy additional dimmers for other locations in the house.

Works with a wide range of LED bulbs
This switch was easy to install. It works and looks great. I confirmed that it works well with (SYLVANIA Ultra LED Night Chaser, PAR38, 250W Equivalent, 2650 Lumen, Replacement for Halogen Flood Spot Light, Medium Base E26, Dimmable, 5000K Daylight) that I bought here on Amazon. I am glad the bulbs and switch work well together. When the little black adjustment lever on the left side of the switch is adjusted all the way down, the light output of the bulbs can be adjusted from a dim night-light glow to the full flood-light capability of the Night Chaser LED bulbs. There is no flicker, dropping out, or buzz. If you have the lights adjusted to the lowest level, when you turn on the light there is a very brief delay. If that bothers you, you can either turn up the output control (left slider) before you turn on the light or adjust the black trim lever on the left side up a hair. If you move the black lever up however, the range of light output is reduced somewhat. A small adjustment of the black lever will make the delay go away but you will not be able to get the night-light glow from your bulbs. I leave the light output adjustment (slider on the left) about mid-way up, and there is no detectable delay when turned on at this level. I can move the slider to full bright or dim glow without any issues. I've never had a dimmer work better with LED bulbs.

Working well.
The dimmer in place before was causing the led bulbs to flicker; it was an older unit and I think probably not compatible with leds. The bulbs don't flicker with this one. Also, I couldn't find an appropriate dimmer in ivory at the local big box stores ( guess which ones ).

Dims all the way down + no flicker
Pretty good. Nice solid feel to the switch and dimmer, dimmed my led dining room ceiling light way down, and no flicker. Replaced a Leviton SureSlide which did none of that. Gets expensive when you need to also buy a wall plate. Matched the almond switch with a Lutron light almond wall plate and I think it looks good.
