Set the wheels to your current code, pull the shackle up and keep it up doing this, turn the reset screw clockwise from green to red, set a new code, turn the reset screw back again, code is set.

whats the key used for

Well, mine has no key.... it is a combination lock. Working well outdoors after nearly a year in all weather. Needs WD40 occasionally but seems good to me.

The default code should be 0000 To change it - pull up the shackle and keep it up, turn the reset screw clockwise from green to red, set your new code, turn the reset screw anti - clockwise back to green, that should do it :o)) Don't forget to make a note of the code somewhere !
