Nice upgrade for the Model Y
This is a very good upgrade for the Tesla Model Y if you are interested in interior ambient lights that turns on and off with the standard ambient lights in the car. The end results look great but there are a couple of small compromises that I will detail in my review. The kit comes with more than enough tools for the full installation job. I'm relatively comfortable with making simple modifications in the car and have experience removing the footwell panels required for this installation. I would say the installation is easy to moderate. The only difficulty I encountered is that the driver side cable is a bit short to completely hide the wiring. I was able to keep the driver footwell light in the correct place, but because the wiring to reach the footwell light connector is too short, the only way I could make it reach the driver footwell light is by having part of the wire go across the air conditioning vent. If it was longer I would be able to hide it behind the footwell panel. Other than that the installation is pretty straight forward and I was happy that the dashboard light strip was easier to install than anticipated. I didn't need to use the tools to be able to press the light strips into the dash.Once installed, there are a couple of less than ideal areas, of which I have attached pictures. The center console area will be filled with the control box and a lot of wiring. I have a console tray in there so it will be cumbersome to access the space below it. The good news for me is that I don't use the center console storage too often, and I can still fit my J1772 adapter in the tray I have. The center console light strip's connection to the lighting source is pretty loose, so I used some black electrical tape to hold it in place. The other area that's less than ideal is the visibility of the wiring for the button to control the lighting and, to a less extent, the lighting source wiring for the dash light strips. The control button has a red wire, so it's a bit more visible than I'd like. I mounted the button behind the center screen under what looks like speaker grille. The red wire and the lighting source/wire are fairly visible by the passenger entering the vehicle. But once seated, it's pretty much out of sight. I found that the dash strip lighting source wiring on the driver's side is fairly well hidden from the driver's perspective. I'm OK with this setup and will leave it as-is. If you do not want the red wire visible, you can either mount the button on the passenger side very close to the edge of the footwell panel, or just not install the button and completely rely on the phone app to control the lighting.Once installed and working, the lights look wonderful at night. Both the control button and the app are very responsive. It's pretty cool that the app allows for basically any color to be mixed and displayed and gives the interior of the Model Y some nice extra pizazz at night. During the day the light strips blends in very well with the metallic trim and look OEM.It remains to be seen how long these lights will last. But they look good enough for me to consider getting another set later on as a backup in case something goes out. I think if you are interested in ambient lights that look fairly OEM and turns on and off with the car's ambient lighting, this is a pretty good choice.

Very nice and clean looking
I got them delivered today and couldn’t wait to install them. Nice high quality product comes in a nice package with instructions and video tutorial. Take your time to follow the instructions and a clean install. You will be happy with the outcome. Took me about 1.5 hours given I am not very handy or experienced with DIY stuff. I really like everything about it. It’s just the right ambiance neither overboard nor underwhelming, just the right amount that I wanted. The reason I am giving it a 4 star is that I wish the wire for the driver side footwell light was longer. I installed it in a model y 2023. I wonder if Tesla has changed the location of the light on driver side footwell further away towards the door and that caused the wire to barely get to connection point and was stretched. I had hard time tucking it in because of slightly short length of wire. But I managed to get it done. Overall very happy with the outcome and looks of it. Love that it works with built in ambient light menu in the settings of the car software and shuts down when u lock the car so doesn’t drain your 12V battery. Installation is not difficult, actually less invasive than some of the other videos I have watched for similar products, but takes time and patience to do it right. The kit came with all the required tools which was really nice since I am not very handy and hence don’t own a lot of tools. I would highly recommend this to give an upscale and nice touch to your Tesla as long as you are willing to spend $70 or so bucks and a couple of hours.

5 star for the quality 1 star for the functionality
So here’s the deal. Got these because i wanted the lights to turn off with ambient lighting in the model 3 or even turn off when i lock the car. As tesla owner the 12v power doesn’t turn off with the car being off (car is awake) so I thought this would solve the problem but it did not. The light strip are high quality for sure but the functionality sucks. Waiting on the replacement hopefully the main box was maybe faulty. I will update based on that. Not to mention; Not the best when it comes to wire but pick your battle. Shows more on the passenger side than drive idk maybe because of the steering wheel so yeah there’s my review and just fyi. I followed all the steps and watched their tutorial video few times to make sure i didn’t miss anything. Just to add you really can’t control these with the car lol

Nice upgrade
Positiv- Good price to what you get- Easy to install- Looks OEM, looks a little bit futuristic and minimalistic- Turns on/off when headlights turn on/off (turns on when it gets dark), and turns on when you open the doors (turns on with the interior lights)- All the cables are long enough (Model Y mars 2023)- Nice colors- Thin light strip, not easy to see when turned off, blend well with the rest of the interior- Footwell lights are much better/stronger than original- Easy to adjust with the appNegative- The light is stronger some places on the light strip, especially in the bends on the centre console- The doble sided tape on the clips to fasten the cable, has no glue and does not stick to anything. But it does not matter because it is better to fasten the cable by putting it in some panel gaps- There is no option to buy lights for the back seat. I think many would buy this. They could have sold 2 ekstra lights for the foot well- The app did not work the first time. Had to delete it and download again, then it workedI would buy this product again
