works well
We have the big brita in our refrigerator and the filters seem to work great. Water tests really good. Right around the time they are supposed to expire the water starts tasting different, so they seem to last as long as they say they do. Very easy to install and directions are clear about hos to change it. We bought the brita when a hurricane was coming and we wanted an extra way to filter water besides our in refrigerator door filter. Because everyone has liked it we continue to use it. My kiddos say the water tastes better than the in door filter

Britta Just TASTES So Much Better!
I love my Britta water filter system. It is better than any bottled water and the filter does a superb job of removing all bad tastes. Also, it is so easy to fill my Keurig with great tasting water using the Keurig pitcher. I have a water filtration system with my refrigerator, but I never use it. Britta filtered water is SO much cleaner and tastier than any other water Iâve ever tasted. Iâll add that I was raised with well water. Britta tastes better!

it lasts 6 months!!! Reduces 25 contaminants
The media could not be loaded. Wed20250528 @Amazon @Brita #BritaEliteThis Brita Elite filter comes nicely packaged and easy to install inside the pitcher. To reset filter life indicator, press the status button for 6 secs until light moves to 'Longlast Filter' option and turns greenđ ;).The Brita Elite Filter doesn't purify water, it just reduces the amount of contaminants like lead, benzene, mercury, cadmium, asbestos & more. Filter needs to be replaced every 6 months or 120 Gallons or when the Brita filter life indicator turns red â¤ď¸.The Brita Elite Filter is tested & certified by IAPMO R&T & NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 53 and by WQA against NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 and 401. What does this mean? That the standardfor removing specific health-related contaminants is met. Some of the contaminants included in this certification are lead, asbestos, volatile organic compounds, Cryptosporidium, perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and chromiumđ¤˘đ¤Ž.đNote to anyone that doesn't like fluoride in the water: The Brita Elite doesn't remove fluoride in the water, which is common in this type of water filters (activated carbon). if you want to filter fluoride you'll need different types of filtration like reverse osmosis (RO) & distillation. Activated alumina filters can also reduce fluoride levels. Some activated carbon filters reduce some fluoride levels but not a ton. according to my research, Brita Elite filters do not effectively remove fluoride from water. Brita filters are designed to reduce chlorine taste & odor, as well as some other contaminants like copper and mercury. They don't contain specific mechanisms to remove fluoride.Overall i appreciate the affordability & i enjoy the taste of my drinking water better with this filter so thank you! Mahalo! Gracias mil đ! -MarianaFVâŻď¸

A good filter for Brita pitcher
This does the job as far as filtering water in our Brita pitcher. Our tap water is terrible on it's own, at times even discolored. I haven't noticed great improvement in taste, but it does remove a lot of impurities so the water is clear, and we use it for coffee and tea.

A good value for clean water
If youâre concerned about water quality, checking your local consumer water supply report is a good place to start. The Environmental Protection Agency requires that water suppliers publish an annual Consumer Confidence Report. You can also use a home kit to test your tap water for lead or other contaminantsâmany cities provide free kits for assessing water quality. There are two main reasons to filter your tap water: to remove contaminants or to improve the taste (which some coffee aficionados will tell you makes a real difference when brewing your morning cuppaâread more about that here). Understanding your goal will help you make the best decision when purchasing a water filtration system. If youâre concerned about specific contaminants, youâll need a filter certified to remove them. You have more options if youâre simply hoping to improve the taste. Not all filters are the same, though, and some may capture certain contaminants better than others. If youâre concerned about a specific element, such as lead, look for a pitcher that has been independently tested and certified for lead removal by a trusted agency. The New York State Department of Health recommends the NSF, UL, and Water Quality Association as trusted certifying bodies. All of the pitchers and dispensers filter water by passing it from a reservoir at the top of the device through a filter and into a basin. (These are called gravity models.) This pitcher style typically uses activated carbon (charcoal) filters that attract chemicals. Carbon filters effectively remove certain elements, such as chlorine, but they cannot remove bacteria. Chlorine, which is commonly added to tap water to kill germs, is often the culprit behind unpleasant flavors. Activated charcoal filters can remove this chemical and help improve the waterâs taste. Gravity filters are generally less powerful than pressurized reverse osmosis systems (which are installed under the sink). The Brita pitcher works well and also tells you when it is time to change filters. I would use the elite filter because it filters a lot more contaminants than the regular filter. Yes this is worth the price for clean better tasting water.

Great buy
This is a money-saver I was buying 3 cases of water every 2 days and the kid was wasting more than half of the water by only drinking half bottles. But me and my husband was talking about how much we spend on water in a month so I decided to buy a water filter picter and now I save a lot of money a month and this filter really last for 6 months
