Does this come with the original camera strap as well?

It depends on who the individual renewed seller is and what it is they're selling. Mine came with the original strap and all the necessary charging equiptment, and (from what I can tell) everything that normally comes with the "body only" kit including the original strap with the embroidered "a7iv". I bought the "body+lens" which had the lens packaged separately. This is different than the "a7iv kit" which has everything in one box. I have a feeling that getting the original camera strap is a "luck of the draw" type deal.

Why is a renewed camera $500 more than a new one?

Where exactly are you finding a NEW A7iv for under $2k? New they’re $2498.

Can the view finder be turned so you can video yourself?

Not the viewfinder, but the display screen on back of camera. It can be positioned to view from the front of camera
