If you love Photography, and haven't an OM-1 you are missing out
Best Camera I have owned, this one does it all for me. Started with Olympus OM series way back in the 80s and I am pleased to be back, in between I have used Minolta 35mm, Nikon 35mm, Sony Digital, Nikon Digital, migrated to Panasonic four thirds owing to missing photos whilst travelling as full frame was too cumbersome to carry around and especially on a boat, compact size of Panasonic was great, but now this little beauty was launched and in reach for me to purchase and I am back where I started, its a Beautiful Instrument. Yes I know some will complain about it not being full frame and depth of field capability, but really, this does it all and especially with the ability of post digital image processing.

A great update from the OMD -E-M1 Mkii
I loved my OMD Mkii and the things I instantly noticed with this upgrade that were of importance to me :Bird trackingBetter ibis stabilityBetter isoQuicker photo stacking capabilitiesThe view finder is a big improvement.I also noticed a lot less buffering when taken at fast frames rates .

Not for large hands.
Really, absolutely, definitely needs the battery holder/portrait grip.Even with my small hands there wasn't enough camera body to get a secure grip.Shutter button position is fine for normal use, but for low macro shots the OM-D E-M5 suits me better.COMPLEX to configure, but very flexible.

Amazing pro camera with excellent AF and low light performance
My initial order didn't arrive on time but amazon's customer facing team chased the warehouse and got it expedited. Very grateful for thier support. On the cameraPros:- A lot of pro functions. There's very little that cannot be done by this camera. I've used it one holiday and every picture was perfect. E.g. Portrait mode adjusts the colors beautifully to capture a natural but vibrant skin tone.- really really good AF. Tracking works very well like 95% of the time. Taking the right pictures almost exactly when you want is very easy with this camera.- exceptional low light performance. Comparing to my previous camera (omd em10 mark ii), the om1 can push the iso to almost max in the worst most dimly light conditions with barely any graininess/ color distortion. This was impossible with my previous camera. I've used the same lens so having a camera that can push iso makes a huge difference. Night pictures turn out gorgeous with this camera.- excellent stabilisation. I've been raising my camera and snapping pictures in seconds while walking or tilting my body and the pictures have had zero blur. You need to do some serious gymnastics or set a slow shutter speed on purpose to get a blur.- excellent battery life: 400+ pics easily on a single charge, for me that's 2 days worth of travel/ holiday photography.Cons:- a little chunky for a mft. But i have big hands so I don't mind.- learning curve- this is a pro camera, learning the features can take time.- GUI/ menu is a little complex and overloaded. But can't blame them. The camera can do a lot.- monochrome mode is a bit too crisp and bright. Doesn't capture depth of shadows as well and lacks the personality that the omd em10 had. I'd prefer the monochrome mode of the em10. But I suppose technically it's a higher quality in terms of image.Summary verdict:Overall the camera is well build and does exactly what you want it to do and then some without any hitches (95-97% of the times). Its Color profile is natural, processing is fast, great stabilisation and battery and low light performace. And has bucket loads of useful functions.Would highly recommend.

Wow, what a Brilliant Camara
I have owned Olympus camera’s since 1979, when the David Bailey advertisements for these camera where on TV. I have progressed through many film (notably a OM 4TI) and digital cameras (EM1Mark 1 & 2). Now I own the latest digital OM1. The camera with its revamped menu is a joy to behold. The only fault I can find if that it is not supplied more advanced manual than just the basic multi-language giving details in how to insert the battery and turn the camera on. A more detailed manual is available in line, whuch is easily downloaded to portable devices (phone, kindle, laptop, etc). Even with this minor fault I still give this fantastic Olympus camera 5 stars. After using the OM Systems OM-1, I am very disapponted that a proper out of camera charger is not provide , as I will not charge third party batteries in the OM-1, I am still dubious about charging a genuine BLX-1 battery in the camera., by using a power bank that must be a minimum of 27watts, therefore the tywo power bank I have for charging the mobile phones are therefore useless with the camera tochage batteries. Why are not two batteries supplied by OM Systems with the camera??
