Behrens Manufacturing 6210 Galvanized Steel Trash Can, 10-Gallon

I bought this for my front porch and works as expected. It looks great, and is very sturdy. The lid removes easily however locking it is a bit tricky. The handle takes a little effort to get over the lid even when it’s fully seated. Overall, I would buy again and thought it was a good value for the money.

Absolutely perfect! Store my bird seed in here on my deck!!! The raccoons try but can't get it open !

I am very happy with this product. It has a great fitting lid so I am currently using it for dry cat food. I may get another one to be able to put large bags of birdseed in. Because of the great fitting lid even if it got knocked over it wouldn't spill the contents. It keeps the cat food fresh so I can buy the larger size product. It is made of metal so it doesn't crack or absorb smells like plastic. I am a senior and can easily get the lid off and pour in the food. I think it is a great value and I can't find anything like it in our local area.

We use it to keep bird seed on the porch so that the bird feeders can be filled. It keeps the seeds, dry and fresh and most importantly, safe from squirrels & raccoons.

I’ve used these cans, with a liner, for dog poop for 25+ years. The first one got a little rust inside after about 10 years so I replaced it. My current one rusted at the handle attachment and one side broke off. The handle on the lid is largely what makes them usable for this purpose (or any purpose IMO) but I can no longer buy the cans with lids with handles locally. So I bought this one because the website picture and reviews show the lidded handle. I ignored the few reviews that said “no handle” because they were old. But THERE IS NO HANDLE. Useless for me and I’m initiating the extremely annoying process of a return.

The can & lid seem of good quality, sturdy, pretty indestructible. However I planned to store bird food outdoors and this will not work. There is open space where the lid handle is inserted into the lid - you can easily see through those 2 slots so definitely enough of an opening for rain or snow to enter the can from the top. I also tested the can itself by putting a couple of inches of water in the bottom, then tipped it slowly side-to-side over my bathtub. Water seeps out around the entire bottom of the can, again not the right container for bird seed that needs to remain dry & insect free. I wish this had been more clear in the description. Except for this issue, it was just what I had been looking for. I will be returning the product.

High quality. Highly recommend. Doesn’t have a handle for opening, but it is not needed, closes and opens easily.

I use it for to hold my dog food. Works well. Lid is snug, but not air tight. I love it. I stencilled some logos on it and a design so it doesn’t look like a plain Jane garbage can!
