I've been wanting to buy an amethyst for a while now, but they are soo expensive everywhere I looked. I was a bit worried ordering from amazon and not being able to see the actual one that I would be ordering. I decided to reach out to the owner, Walt the rock guy and ask him a couple questions. He was such a wonderful person and got back to me soo promptly! After talking with him I made my purchase and was sooo happy I did. The crystal is absolutely stunning! They're from Uruguay and such a deep beautiful purple. I'm soo happy with my purchase, I've seen the same size amethyst for so much more in price. Not only do I love my crystal but I also feel good supporting a business with such amazing and kind people behind it! It was packed really well and even came with a selenite wand in a little pouch. The pictures don't do justice to how it looks in person. You can see from the side angle that the crystals go all the way through it. It's cut soo nicely, I seriously have nothing but positive things to say. If you're thinking of getting one, don't hesitate!

I am a crystal collector and enthusiast. Every now and then i get a "craving" for a certain stone. This time it was amethyst. I like the size of this piece. It has a rich color to it. Good price for the quality. Upon arrival it came with Selenite. I gave it a rinse and a gentle scrub with an old tooth brush to remove dust. If you're new to crystals bear in mind they will all be different. Don't be dissapionted just because it doesn't have perfect uniform shape, or a few tiny crystals that come off. I sometimes display it on its cut bottom, sometimes i lay it down on its rough side. Mine has a slight heart shape to it. I very much enjoy this crystal and the energy it brings.

The quality and size of the Amethyst they sent me is incredible for the price. There are beautiful agate layers just beneath the crystals. I wet the sides a little in these photos to show the layers, but they disappear once dry from where the rock was cut. I will likely sand and polish the sides to keep the layers shining and visible. Highly recommended!! The weight is fairly accurate; I ordered a 1-1.5lb specimen and it feels like it may be 1lb. Although on the lighter side, it is still an amazing deal for the price. The 3" Selenite wand was a great bonus as well! (:

I bought this because all the other reviews said it was perfect. All the pictures I saw looked great. I received mine in the mail, I open it up and the paper wrapping was all tore up. And had wholes in it. As I unwrapped it, small shreds of the crystals were falling out and it got every where. And when I fully unwrapped the specimen was fully broken into 2 pieces. The only protection that was in the box was the wrapping around the specimen there was no stuffing around it so no wonder it got broken in transient. So I have to return it. If it wasn’t broken it would have been gorgeous. I’m wondering if I should even press my luck and try to order a new one or save my time.

The Amethyst cluster is a beautiful deep purple and it sparkles in the light. I was concerned about ordering crystals on Amazon, because I didn't know what the quality would be like, but I'm happy with my purchase.My advice is to be open minded about the shape of the cluster. In my mind, I wanted a perfectly symmetrical piece like the one in the photo. The one I received had more character, but it is still beautiful.There was a minor issue with my order and the seller was quick to reply and resolve it. I will definitely purchase from this seller in the future. I also like that they employ adults with special needs to wrap the crystals. Mine was wrapped really well!
