Yes, you can easily add the second clip without having to cut or sew the straps!
I purchased these straps to replace worn out straps on my Bimini top. It would have cost me $50 to purchase replacement straps identical to the old ones, so I opted for these less expensive straps instead. These straps are good quality and will work perfectly for my intended application. When I first received the straps it was not immediately obvious to me how to connect the second clip. After some thinking, I was able to identify two possible ways to connect the second set of clips without having to cut or re-sew the straps.Configuration 1You do this by pulling the strap out of the buckle, sliding the end of the strap through the second clip, and threading the strap back into the buckle. This configuration results in a strap that adjusts from a minimum length of 4” to a maximum length of 32”.Configuration 2There is no need to remove the strap from the buckle for this one. Simply slide the end of the strap through the second clip and pull the clip through the sewn loop to secure it to the end of the strap (see photos). This configuration results in a strap that adjusts from a minimum length of 36” to a maximum length of 64”.I hope this information will help others visualize and understand how to connect the second set of clips.

Great dean on nice quality straps -- and yes, both ends can have snap hooks (please see below)
These straps seem to be really nice quality and are a really good deal. Please note that the reviews claiming that the supplied snap hooks cannot be easily connected to the straps are totally incorrect. The looped end of the strap just needs to be threaded through the opening in each snap hook assembly and then the snap hook assembly fed through similar to how you would knot a tie. Yes, this means that the snap hook on one end of each strap would be attached differently than the snap hook on the other end, but so what -- it works perfectly. There are a few reviews that explain this correctly and also some info in the Questions section about this. This construction allows using the same straps in cases where a snap hook is only needed on one end, and I'm guessing helps keep the price down. So kudos to the manufacturer/supplier.

Works okay
These straps are good just a little too long for our pontoon bimi to hold it down. I had to knot it in a couple of places to make it work.

Perfect replacements
Needed new straps for our bimini boat top as our old ones had weathered and weakened from the sun and salt air. These replacements worked out great. Definitely a good buy.
