Very good value from ALTO sonically…
The media could not be loaded. These are a certainly a step up from the previous version of this speaker, the TX210 from ALTO. The sound quality has dramatically improved with much more clarity across all the frequencies. I’m testing these with an iPhone 12 using Apple’s lightening to 3.5mm dac dongle running into RCA to XLR. Plenty of detail retrieval in the music especially for a budget/entry level PA speaker and certainly a lively enough sound that will give a bit more to the party. Highs are crisp and accurate, vocals are clear, bass is pleasingly tight and punchy but if you want more boom for your buck then go for the 12 or even 15. Straight out of the box these sound good and with a little EQing these will sound even better. These are a preferential buy for the house and small parties in the back garden…terraced housing UK…where the 12 and 15 inch would be overkill and likely headache for my neighbours! I think the TX310s fit this bill perfectly. You could opt for the Alto’s TS410 but in my case I just did not want that much power. The TX310 at 1.00 oclock on the volume pot using the iPhone is pretty loud considering it’s not a strong source and I haven’t maxed out the phones volume either! Using a decent DJ controller (even entry level) will increase source strength quite dramatically and so these will be plenty loud for a typical UK terraced house without being blatantly obnoxious which can often be tempting with speakers with greater output like Altos TS4 range but even with the TX310 you might still get a complaint or two. Build quality is decent and newly designed cabinet is another big improvement over the previous generation of this speaker. This speaker is not at all heavy in fact even boxed as it was when the rather helpful Amazon driver delivered these I was surprised by the gross weight when picking these up. I like this speakers weight or the absence of it. It’s so easy to lug around and added to the big improvement in sound quality what Alto has achieved here is great for the end user like me. In conclusion, worth every penny paid. Oh, before I forget there is only one speaker playing in the video as I didn’t have an RCA Y splitter at the time of writing this review, sounds pretty good doesn't it?

Great 350W powered speakers. Great sound, great power
Smiles all around. What a thumper!! A fabulous balanced xlr cable powered speakers. It sounds amazing. It's relatively compact, relatively light weight to carry and that's about the only light weight thing about this speaker. It's very simple to use. Volume gain for speaker and Mic and that's you're lot. If youre looking for something, punchy 350w, quick and ready to go and remember it's a xlr cable required, then this is a great option and great value for money. I recently played at a pub, for a 70th birthday party and this was absolutely perfect

Great quality sound for live performance in large pubs, medium halls and most venues
I bought these to replace a 300 w KAM powered speaker system, mainly for the reduced weight and excellent price. My KAM system weighs a back breaking 18 kilos (mainly the sub woofer). I use two speakers from a mixer line output for performance of four piece band and also solo acoustic guitar / singer gigs and open mic nights. I also run background music through the system. I was frankly amazed at the quality of sound of these speakers. I was also amazed at the weight, they are light as a feather. My last experience of powered speakers, was two 15 inch 200 watt speakers which weighed 20 kilos each. I needed a large car to carry them and loading them onto stands was back breaking and dangerous work. I got rid of them basically because they were too big and too heavy. I was worried when I ordered these, as I thought they cant possibly give the Bass projection from 8 inch speakers, so I expected to need my powered sub woofer if they proved too toppy. Well I was wrong. The sound quality is frankly amazing and I am glad I didn't go for the heavier 10 inch models. I usually play pubs and small halls, and these were ideal for this purpose and pack away in the boot of my car. If I ever play a rock stadium I will use my sub woofer, but I doubt I will ever need too. At my first gig two people asked what they were and how they could get some. Match to a mixer desk and you have an excellent, light weight, high quality, PA for almost any pub or medium size venue. Add a powered sub woofer and you can do anything. For the price they are simply the best (thanks Tina).

Sounds good, and is solidly made.
Sounds good, and is solidly made. Claimed power output is absurd - it only consumes 150 watts, so even with class D efficiency, it can't be putting out more that 90% of that. Loud enough for what I want it for (vocal monitor)

Decent sound and build at a competitive price.
Well built but relatively lightweight. Go reasonably loud [but 350W is peak value, not rms]. Need a sub if using them for full range music, but fine for background music and speech in a small hall, garden or pub PA perhaps. Cannot comment on durability at the moment.Lack of Bluetooth/usb connectivity and tone controls may deter some, but the single xlr input and xlr link output are adequate for my requirements and saved a bit of dosh on unwanted extras.Incidentally, the 408s are better, go louder and come with more facilities but are much heavier and more expensive. And would still need a sub for full range music. You pays your money....
